mom's of girls: diaper rash ques

I noticed this morning my DD has a very red, slightly bumpy rash in her outer labia

she's never had bad diaper rashes- is this diaper rash? heat rash?

What can I put on it to help it go away- I've been using Desitin and powder and changing her diapers frequntly plus letting her "air out" for a bit.

Sounds like it. Try Aquaphor. Works like a charm on all of DD's rashes.

airing out is a great idea!!

we use california baby diaper rash cream (expensive but worth it).

whenever she has a rash we stop using wipes and use viva paper towels with water (or a california baby diaper rash spray that we got at target)...

More than likely it could be a rash, but it is also possible it could be yeast. Abby had thrush down there a few times.

I would keep her very clean and dry with some cornstarch powder. When DD gets rashy, I dry her off with a touch of powder then mix vaseline and desitin. Apply each diaper change. Gets rid of all rashes in a day or two.
