I dont use this stuff, but if you recall she had a bad reaction to antibiotics and had bad diarrhea and diaper rash.

My hubby got the Target version of destin by accident and we gave it to Daycare to use.

Well the rash is gone (we changed antibiotics) but daycare kept using the creme. We finally took it away last night.

They put the creme in her private areas so much I have to really spread her open to get that stuff out! Chat Icon She's so unhappy about it. I gave her a nice long soak and bath and it seems to have gotten it all.

But is it bad to have this creme in her vagina and pee pee area?

They WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over did it with this stuff. *sigh*

It's not bad to my knowledge, I wouldn't worry too much over it...I remember when we had the nurse helping us for the first two weeks after DD was born and she told us not to worry if we saw it go in to the area, it can't do any harm!!!

I don't have a girl but I don't think it should be bad. I can't imagine them making a diaper rash creme that would bother that area.

Thanks

She seemed so upset when we had to wipe it out that I had to ask.

I am a believer that nothing but water goes in there and soapy water is meant only for the exterior.

Thanks again!

my DD was on alot of antibotics when she was a baby and would get really bad rashes. We were always told by the ped to GLOB it on really thick. I'm sure it's ok. Especially if you aren't using it regularly.

Well I don't like when it gets in there.

But we do use it, and even though I am VERY careful (and tell DH) to make sure it doesn't go near there, when she moves, sometimes it works it's way up there. So I have seen it in there, and usually a few pees and it flushes it out. So they may not have put it there, but they just put alot and it worked it's way up there.

Just do a few baths, and squish the water towards her privates. A few pees and it will come out. I wouldn't want to PUSH it up there though, so be careful wiping.
