Update Long Vent: Furniture
Update: So the manufacturer will do nothing to remedy the situation. The lady at the store told me they could send me loaner furniture. I feel like canceling the entire order and heading to BBB or BRU. I have a call in to talk with the manager! So frustrated.
So we called to check in on our Munire set that we ordered in February. We were origionally told 8-14 weeks. This weekend will be 14 weeks. Today I get a message that the furniture will not be in till late July, which is when I am due. I find this absolutely ridiculous b/c I will have no where to put clothing or a changing table. My shower is in three weeks and I want this nursery set up! I asked them what they are going to do about this problem since my furniture is now taking 2 times as long as I was quoted. The lady I spoke with is going to talk to the manager and let me know tomorrow. She went ahead and called the company and asked what they had in stock. We ordered the Essex crib which is the cheapest of the cribs and I refuse to spend a dime more. I feel like something should be done. I mean they didn't even call to tell me about the situation! Am I wrong?

I totally hear you! We ordered ours in March and I just called to ask about it since it was supposed to be in late May. They said they hope to get it shipped from Europe at the end of June. I'm due July 3rd. I wanted exactly what you wanted, to set everything up before the shower. Well we just had it Sat so that didn't happen We have a cradle for him, so he'll have a place to sleep, but I'm still super bummed.
Hopefully they do something for you!

I would see what you can get out of them, furniture upgrade, partial refund, delivery refund. That is outrageous.

Waiting for the manager to call back. Hopefully they will foot the difference and order me the other crib.

Ok, I'm gonna be honest, please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just saying what my thoughts are. We were originally LOVING Munire and Romina, but a few people steered us away because it IS made in Europe! We heard the whole, what if the company goes out, they haven't been around as long as Stanley, which is why we choose Stanley Young America, and it's also made here in the USA!!! I feel so awful that this is happening to you, you should be fairly compensated, but I know more importantly right now, you just want your furniture and be able to set up the room. Good luck!!!
