Grrrr...BEHR'S Furniture Vent!!!

Okay...maybe it's just my "nesting", but I am so annoyed with Behr's right now. I ordered the furniture on June 25th, and it's still not in!!!

They told me some pieces were in - of course the ones I don't "really" need. I also know that I won't be using the crib right away, but I want the room done. I am going to be 38 week on Thursday!

I told them I was due in Sept Chat Icon hoping it would "push" them along...but no such luck.

I guess I am just going to keep calling and asking...what else can I do???

Anyone else have this issue with Behr's? For those ladies who haven't ordered yet - my advice is to do it early!Chat Icon

I had a huge issue with Behr's to the point where I cancelled some of the pieces. I ordered the furniture in Sept and was told told it would be in Nov. They delivered my crib and dresser a week before the baby came at the END of January!!! The changing table never came so by March I cancelled the order and the hutch for the dresser came in April. I was soooo angry I was in tears on the phone with them and they said there was nothing they could do. I will not be ordering from them again!

this just occurred to me....

the problem with baby furniture places is that frequently people just need to buy from them ONCE... so they don't have to bother too much about retaining customers Chat Icon

this was my conclusion about BRU and their registry policies... I know a lot of people who after the shower wouldn't do it again... but it's not that common to have more than one shower, so what do they care?

sigh. it sux being a consumer sometimes.

Well, at this point I'll just have to wait to speak to them on Monday. I'm just frustrated.

we ordered dd crib armouire and glider and her bedset from them in july and they said the order would take 12 wks-well 7 wks later they called to say its all in. my shower was last wk so the bedding was allready picked up. we r sched for the furniture to be delivred this mon. so we shall see i will post and let u know how it went. i am sorry to hear ur situation though. i can def understand ur anger.

I never had a problem. Keep in mind, they don't have control over what the manufacturer does either so its likely its not their fault. I've talked to John the manager there a few times and hes always been super accomodating.

i love this store, and agree with the poster above me, they dont make the furniture ...the factory does...usually in order to get ANYWHERE you gotta complain to Munire, or Stanley directly..
i went in with my mother, then back with my DH, and NOTH times they told me to allow for 16 weeks for delivery "just in case"
i do agree though, its always the case that SOMEONE gets shafted..its usually me, so im gonna keep quiet till i have my furniture lol

They were great with us and our furniture arrived 1 month before expected...but now they are waiting on us b/c the room is not finished yet!!

My purchase with them last yr for DS's furniture was wonderful. No problems at all.
We ordered DD's furniture in June and gave an EDD of Sept 15. I still have no furniture here. I have called numerous times and on Friday they told me "it will be on the next truck down from Canada, call at the end of next week to check status"
It is annoying but I hope everything works out and I have the stuff within the next 2 weeks.

you'd THINK, but there are so many baby stores that have so many grumpy customers, yet their still popular becuase of some convenience factor.... so new couples are willing to overlook the rep and go there anyway.

the poster-child of that scenario is BRU IMO.... their return policy, and website and registry mismanagement is legendary, but their shops are everywhere so.... everyone (including me) registers there.... some walk away happy, and others are Chat Icon

I've read that sooo many people have bought at Behr's... I presume there's a lot of stuff there that you just can't easily get elsewhere.... so it's a BRU-like situation

We ordered all DD's furniture from there, I was worried that it wasnt going to make it in time (which wasnt a HUGE deal since she wouldnt be in the crib anyway)

It got here about 3 or 4 weeks before DD was born and it was perfect. It was late though, was supposed to be here in November and came in December. But it wasnt their fault, it comes from the manufacturer which sends out trucks when they have a full shipment.

I was the same way though, called every week lol, think it was just me being preggo and nutso Chat Icon But we will definately be ordering from them again for baby #2!

ITA. most of the time they are relaying (all stores that deal with outside manufacturers, not just Behr's) what the manufacturer is telling them.

I only got my stuff early b/c someone else cancelled their crib and I only ordered my crib from them. I ordered from a company that is notoriously back ordered. so I left a HUGE window. If the other person did not cancel I would have gotten my crib 2 weeks before I had DS, and I ordered the furniture before my level IIChat Icon

UPDATE!!! I called today and the furniture is in!!!Chat Icon

They were like - do you want to schedule delivery? YES!!! So it's scheduled to come on Wednesday. I'm psyched.
