Anyone elses DC petrified of grass?
DD acts as if the grass is hot lava! She lifts her legs up and won't let you put her down on it. Please tell me this is a short phase! Thanks

Yup...short phase. DS was that way too and now...grass stains are a very real part of my laundry problem!

DS went through that..Like pp said, it was a quick phase 
If you think about it, grass does have a weird feeling to it (its kinda shaprish) , I'm grown and don't like to sit on it

DS was like that. He was a city kid and it would totally bug him out but he got over it very quickly!

DD did this when she was like 12-13 mos. It cracked us up (the leg lifting) and it passed pretty quickly!

yeah, DD had that last year. now that she is almost 2 we don't have that problem. now sand, i'm not sure she is over that one yet!

They walk and run on the grass but you won't catch my kids sitting, rolling or even walking on it barefoot even at 4 and almost 3.

Walking on grass is actually a very intense sensory experience. Grass can feel sharp against young, sensitive feet... Unless a child has a sensory issue, consistent exposure will desensitize them rather quickly...

I put DS in the grass for the first time around 6.5 months & he loved it! He was picking up everything. Now the other day, we went outside to enjoy the sunshine & he screamed! I brought all his toys outside thinking that would help & it didn't. He doesn't mind his feet in it he just HATES to sit in it
