anyone watch "Life" on discoveryHD?
DH got me hooked on this show and I think it's incredible. It's basically documentary-style with a focus on a different category of "life" (plants, fish, etc) each episode. Oprah narrates -- didn't know this at first but once I learned this I can't get it out of my mind 
the camerawork is incredible and it's astounding how amazing mother nature is. highly recommend taping this, especially if you have an HD tv

I've only seen it once, but it was incredible how they were able to catch such amazing footage

Shock of the century - DH is GLUED to it and wants me to watch every second of it with him. EVEN though the RHONY was on at the same time. But NOOOOO we had to watch a bug EAT another bug in fast-time.

I have 9 episodes on my tivo and I'm going to invite some friends over and make a marathon of it. Probably not all 11 episodes, but maybe 3 at a time. I can't wait.
But I missed the bird episode. I hope my tivo catches it. I love love love Bower birds. They are sooo fascinating.

I keep trying to get into it, but Oprah irks me as a narrator, for this series anyway. I liked Sigourney Weaver better.

I had some friends over and we watched "Challenges of Life" and "Creatures of the Deep" last night. It was amazing!
It was super cute... we were all in the living room, and my kitty was on the floor watching too. He couldn't take his eyes off the tv!

yup me too
i like LIFE, but Planet Earth was more enjoyable, and consistently blew me away.
Oprah's narration is sometimes a little too cutesy for me (i know she's just reading a script)
