DH and TTC

I was just curious if all your DH's wanted a baby as much as you do? I know my Dh wants them but I dont think he wants them as much as I do at this moment. I mean we just started TTC but I wish he was as excited as me. I feel like I cant talk about it to much because he gets annoyed. Maybe its because he's the man and hes always worrying about money and how were going to afford it and pay for everything but I tell him all the time that I dont think you can ever be fully prepared. If it were up to him we would wait but we are both in our 30's, I dont see the point in waiting. We have a home and good jobs. It just makes me sad sometimes thats all and today is one of those days. Thanks for letting me vent Chat Icon

Re: DH and TTC

I think it's totally normal for them to be a little worried about having a baby. Remember, this is something we as girls have thought about since we were little, for them it's something new to get used to.

My DH was the same exact way at first and now he's right on board with me.

Re: DH and TTC

I understand, girl!!!! Chat Icon i got AF on Sat morning and started to cry in the bathroom Chat Icon DH heard and was like "why you crying?" and I told him we were out this month. Well, we got into the MOTHER of all fights bc I got so upset over it. Chat Icon
DH does want a baby, but probably not as much as me. I know for sure that he doesn't think about it nearly as much as I do. DH usually only talks about having a baby after we hang out with someone who has a baby. Other than that, I don't think they're on his mind as much as they are on mine. I chalk it up to him just being a man and not "getting it." He doesn't realize how truly difficult the process is. He doesn't track his cycles, check his CM (lol, Chat Icon ) obsess over every single twinge and cramp during the 2WW, POAS only to see 1 line come up or a big FAT NOT PREGNANT on the digital, etc etc. only to have AF show up 3 days late (after you've fully convinced yourself that "THIS IS IT!!!", no less). It's frustrating, and stressful, and hard. And the silver lining is that we are all going through it (to some degree) together!! so vent away!! We're here for you!!!! Re: DH and TTC

No, which is why we are waiting till summer to try.Chat Icon Chat Icon I also told him last night that it takes a healthy copy up to a year to conceive, and he told me I was lying. I'm actually excited right now b/c one of his best friends, and one of the first to jump on the anti-baby train, is trying and I think they may be pregnant now. So I feel that will be a good influence on him.
