Dogs and the 2ww

Ok this is going to sound so silly... but is it true that dogs can sense pregnancy?

This is one of the many things (not sure if you can call it a symptom) that I'm trying to ignore but after yesterday, it's becoming more clear. My dog has literally been following me around the house and resting his head on my lap for the past week or so. He always wants attention but lately it's getting to the point where I'm actually kinda annoyed by it. So yesterday, we took him to the dog park and seriously... I looked like Evan Almighty! All the dogs kept coming up to me and it was so bizarre. We were laughing hysterically every time a dog came up and DH won't let me live this one down... Chat Icon

I know this sounds completely ridiculous and I'm fully aware... but has anyone else had similar experieinces? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

one of my dogs is completely obsess with me. he has to be close to me and will push DH out the way to be close to me. He loves resting his head on my lap or my stomach if I'm lying down.
Besides that He's also marking everywhere in the house.

So I POAS and got a BFP... BUT!!!!
I triggered 13 days ago and the shot that I took takes a 5-14 days (14 days is the max) for it to get out of your system... so this could quite possibly be a false BFP. Luckily I bought a 3 pack so I can test again tomorrow and Wednesday with FMU... and then I go for my Beta on Thursday! Chat Icon

I've heard that dogs can sense it and start acting differently. My dog is a big mush who always wants to be cuddled up against me, so I'm curious to see if he'll act differently.

Re: Dogs and the 2ww

Chat Icon thats funny! I do thinks dog can sense it. My dog is overly protective of me. If DH hugs me or kisses me he barks like crazy and cries. God forbid DH and I play fight the dog goes insane! I am very anxious to see what he is going to be like when I am pregnant if he is that way already.

I totally think dogs can sense it... and every 2WW I'm guilty of asking my dog to smell/lick my belly to see if anything's growing in there! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My dog definitely knows. I took a test because he was acting weird.

I swear they know! I ready articles where dogs can sense cancer and all sorts of diseases. I can't see how they wouldn't sense pregnancy. They are truly incredible animals.

I'm so curious to see how my Lab is going to react when I'm pg. My DH constantly calls him a mama's boy because he's always laying all over me and loves to cuddle (despite being 90 lbs!)
