Ugh
One of the teaching assistants at my school just randomly asked me (while the child that she is a para for was tantrumming), "you're married with a husband, why don't you have kids yet?" I gave her a vague, "we'll see," and then said something about trying to finish my dissertation first. It's so hurtful, after having a m/c in June, and trying for a little over a year overall. I always forget to use my sister's line, "Get out of my womb!"

Sometimes i swear.. people who don't know what we're going through have NO idea and just think they're making polite conversation or something.

Same here, I used to bug my brother all the time bc he's been married for 3 years and I always would say umm I wanna be an aunt, when r u having a kid. Now I just keep my trap shut bc I kinda feel bad if they're going through even half of what me and DH are going through!
Some people just don't know any better and I think 95% of the time it's out of nosiness and not out of sincerity.

People don't know better. I never realize that a question like that can be so hurtful to someone who is TTC

haha!
Honestly... I'd probably just say... well we tired and had a mc and are currently trying again. And then stop there and say nothing more. She will probably be shocked enough to drop it. And not only that but perhaps she would learn her lesson and not ask about it again to you or anyone else for that matter. HAHA... and the more people we do this too... the better for all of us because it will trickle out. Ahhh at least in a perfect world.

I really don't understand people sometimes! 
We sought out help from an RE and my para who I have a very close relationship with (and she knows about my fertility issues) said the following last week .......
"Are you sure you want to have a family so soon, don't you want to enjoy living in your new house first?"
I don't understand how people think they're entitled to just say what they think about something so personal.
Who knows, maybe she feels insecure about her own fertility!

Don't worry. I don't think people really think about what they are saying until they themselves are in the situation. I've run out of clever remarks. My latest is: "It's in God's hand" - that usually shuts people up bc it sorta sends the message that you want children but unfortunately it's not something you can snap your fingers and "poof".
When people used to ask me when we were gonna have a baby my response was to look down at my flat belly, shrug my shoulders and say "I guess not today"
