Window treatment help
I have a large bow window in my living room. I have not had any window treatments since we moved in (2 years). We do live at the end of a dead end so that saves us.
I had someone come over and give us an estimate on cellular shades. I would have to get 5 for the 5 windows. The price came to about $900. I went to a local place and can get something similiar but with a cord for about $400.00.
I know down the line I will probably be replacing this window, so I started to rethink about getting the blinds.
Can someone help me with what else I could get to cover the window. I was just thinking of a sheer with a scarf. Any thoughts on that? Also the length of the window going across is at least 116 inches. I am not even sure I could get a rod that large.
So for all you awesome decorators out there, any thoughts ro suggestions? TIA

Re: Window treatment help
I'm not sure what kind of blinds you're set on, but we purchased some white 2" faux wood blinds for our bay window from Home Depot - they're about $30 each for the narrower windows and the larger one was about $45. We had those up and then just installed curtains that hang on either side of the window but can be drawn fully closed if we need them to be. They definitely do make rods up to 144" wide, so you can put sheers across if you like
the pics not the best, but you get the idea

Thanks so much for your response. I typed bay but meant bow.

oops! you can still get a rod that will go across your entire length though if you chose to do sheers
personally, if you're thinking of changing the windows in a little while, i wouldn't spend too much on any treatment right now. Go for something simple
