**** Monday QOTD ****
Morning Ladies!! 
Today's QOTD is based on a convo that DH and I had last night. We were at Friendly's for some ice cream and we were surrounded by bratty children who weren't listening to a darn thing their parents were telling them. On the drive home we were discussing who would be the discipinarian and what we would do to make sure our children learn right from wrong and to respect their elders from day 1.
So the QOTD is...
Who will be the disciplinarian in your household?
For us, we are going to both discipline our children when needed, but I feel as though I will ultimately be the 'bad cop'. DH is so layed back and has such a 'go with the flow' attitude, so I feel like he will be less strict than I will be.

I think both of us will BUT My dh is a pushover with our dog and I am the one who punishes him or yells at him. Plus I am a teacher for the past 8 years and I discipline children everyday so I believe I have gotten good at it.
There are certain things I expect from my children and if it is not followed there will be consequences.
I believe consistency is number 1 for having well behaved children and I will run my house like I run my classroom and I think DH will be more of an observer LOL

My answer is based on the dog too.  I'm definitely stricter with our dog. I don't let him get away with as much as DH. So I imagine it'll be similar with kids. It'll be like good cop, bad cop.

You know, I never really thought about our relationship with the dog as a comparison! DH lets the dog get away with EVERYTHING!! I'm in for it when we have DC to discipline! LOL
I agree with you 100% about children having consequences for thier actions. I feel like in today's society some people are afraid to discipline their kids bc it's hard to draw the line between strict discipline and abuse. As children, if we got out of line, my parents would give us a little smack on the toosh or hand to teach us what is not acceptable behavior. I know this is a very controversial topics, but it seems as though people just don't do this anymore and there is no 'fear' of making bad decisions. I remember being smacked on the toosh ONCE as a child, and that was enough for me to respect my parents and take what they said seriously. All they had to do was give us 'the look' and we would stop what we were doing right away.

I hope that it will be both of us. I'm sure there will be certain things that he will be more stricter than I am and vice versa. We both punish the dog and about 5 minutes later we both give in because he is so friggin cute...so it's hard to tell how we will be based on the doggie.

ME! I'm not happy about this, but it's the way it will be. My father used to always give me junk food and have me stay up later, when my mom was away and that will be my DH to a tee.

Me!! DH says that he will be, but he is a huge pushover. We don't have a dog, we have a cat, even with her - if she does something wrong or I yell at her - he is like don't yell she didn't mean it!!
Our poor kid is going to be so confused!

GOsh i feel like the men are all such pushovers...I dont know how I am going to be....I think I will have to be the strict one b/c I will be with the child most of the time.

Hands down..ME. DH always says our kids will like him better because he's gonna be "cool" and let them do things I say no to.  I'm a teacher...I have a hard time not telling other people's kids how to behave appropriately!
