Having a tough day

I haven't been in this TTC game for too long but today I am just tired and defeated and sad. I was so excited at the beginning of the month because I was starting temping and using OPK. And now here I am 30 days later, no Oing in sight. Then, a couple of days ago, I get my response from Brooke and she is talking about meds and a test/procedure coming up. Neither of these things are on the horizon at this point. It makes me worry even more that something is off and I don't know about it. Because we haven't been trying for that long, my doctors are hesitant to do anything yet.

At this point, I would be thrilled with a Chat Icon and a biphasic chart. Chat Icon There is the rational part of me that knows that we haven't been trying for that long and there are plenty of people who have been though much more in their journey of TTC. But the emotional side of me is just wallowing today and getting the best of me.

Thanks for reading. Any words of encouragement or wisdom would be greatly appreciated

Honestly, and this is just my opinion, I really wouldn't care what my doctors say.......I would seek out the help of an RE if for no other reason than to put your mind at ease that everything is okay and maybe it's just going to take some time. The WORST mistake I ever made was waiting to see an RE because once I did I was pregnant within 4 months where prior to that we were trying off and on for years with no luck. The thing is, you don't know if something is wrong unless you have some tests run. You're DH may have a problem you don't know about, you may have a hormonal imbalance or a blockage or any number of other issues. I hope you don't have anything wrong and I am not saying they will find anything wrong but I think it would put your mind at ease to at least know for sure everything is fine with both you and you DH.

Not sure what insurance you have but my insurance doesn't require referrals so I was able to just go to an RE without going through my OB/GYN. Bear in mind, they have NO way of knowing how long you have been TTC so you can see an RE at any time and request a work up to make sure everything is functioning as it should be.

Hang in there. I know it's a long and frustrating road but your time will come. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I wouldn't put too much faith in a $12 online psychic prediction. JMO.

Believe me, I understand what you are going through. Today is one of those days for me, too! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to definitely, 100% go see a RE! I wasted way too much time with my OB/GYN and I'm regretting it now. If for nothing else but peace of mind... go to a RE so you can see the full picture.

I also wanted to tell you not to let what a psychic tells you get you down.

I agree. You're just going to stress yourself out by focusing on the reading. A psychic told me I'd be PG last year and when December came and went, I was devastated. I focused way too much on it happening according to her schedule.

I usually O around CD 28-30, and that's after being off BC for 7 months. Could your body still be getting used to being off the BC? If you feel like something is wrong talk to your doc and if he/she is not willing to do tests then look into another opinion. There's such a small possibility for a woman to get PG each month. Try not to let it get the best of you. Your baby will pick you soon enough.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hi! Don't feel discouraged! The last thing you want is to stress yourself out during TTC. Stress can also potentially effect TTC.
Always listen to your own body. If you feel like something is not right, go with your instinct and make sure your OB/GYN is understanding your concern. If you still have concerns, maybe have her run some baseline blood work and SA for your DH.
GOod luck and we are all here for you!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hang in there. I'm right there with you. I just posted about how annoyed I am with this process. I hope your day gets better and you find some peace in whats going on soon. Either its just taking a few cycles for you, or if there is something more going on, I hope they figure it out soon and do what needs to be done. Good luck!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sorry you're having a rough day. Ugh! We've all been there. First off, I wouldn't put much thought into what a psychic says. Do it for fun, but take it with a grain of salt. She's some random woman who "looks into your eyes" (of a picture no less) and sees your future!?!? Hope you didn't send her a pic with any red eye - she'll tell you about a devil baby or something! lol (did you smile at that? that was the point!? I'm bad at humor Chat Icon )

Anyway, go with your gut. MD's say to wait 6 months or a year depending on your age but NO ONE knows your body better than you. If you think something is up, make an appt with an RE. It can't hurt. And if you have insurance and it covers it, you'll be out the cost of a copay - that's it. This way you can have peace of mind. If there is an issue (I Chat Icon there isn't) at least you can be on the road to fixing it. If there isn't any issue, then you know that its a frustrating annoying process, but you and DH are healthy and it WILL happen in time.

In the interim, vent away! We've all done it on here b/c we all have days like you're having today. They suck! They suck nearly as much as AF! But we are all here for you!!

I agree with Kristen and Rachel (I didn't get to read everyone elses repsonse). If your heart is telling you, go see an RE. Someone else said in a thread recently something to the effect of 'going to an RE doesn't mean IVF next week'. Go, get answers. Set your mind at ease.

And for Rachels response... I agree. She may have an amazing success rate, but not all are going to come true. You just might have slipped through. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks ladies! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I really appreciate all of your kind words. Honestly, I am not putting stock into Brooke's prediction so much. It was just the straw that broke the camel's back. As I said in my post, I just would be happy to know that I am ovulating at this point. I am going to speak with my ob/gyn about what options are available as far as testing and all. I just feel in my gut that something is off and I don't have time to waste.

Thanks again to everyone to took the time out to write. It meant a lot. Chat Icon Chat Icon
