If you filed a tax grievance
How long was it before you found out? DH and I just filed so we're anxious to find out if we're going to get a reduction.

If you just filed this January - you are protesting the 2011/12 tentative assessment. The 2011/12 FINAL assessment is published on April 1, 2011. It could take that long for you to hear.
Nassau County is EXTREMELY backloged with SCAR cases. If you are denied at grievance level, it could take another year to get a SCAR hearing based on your petition.
