I considered leaving for Verizon.. not so much for the channels as for the opportunity to get a better deal. Turns out there's no way in heck Verizon was able to come close to what I was getting so I stayed put. I am not a vey loyal person!

Fios isn't in our area yet, so Satellite was our only option and it would have been much more money.
I was also looking over the Fios packages and they aren't any better than what we are paying for our triple play now. Obviously, the first year is cheaper but after that it's the same price with Verizon being a bit more.

Although I hate CV, I can't go back to Fios bc their internet doesn't work well w/ Playstation 3 for online games and DH couldn't survive w/out his Call of Duty.

Switched to Fios, and i have more channels that i like, that are clearer, faster internet, and cheaper then cablevision for 2 years...If it goes Higher after the 2 years, then maybe i will switch then, and play the game they play with us.

Stayed with CV.
They still are a good deal overall. I've never had a problem with customer service. 2 less channels out of the 200+ that we get wouldn't make me leave. Plus, I live by News12 and traffic and weather and I love that I can program my DVR from the internet/iphone.

I made the switch to FIOS. I hated CV anyway and it was too freakin expensive. The FIOS guy is actually at our apt. as we speak.

same here.
Same with me. We had switched back in November and CV just could not match the deal Verizon gave us although we went back and forth a few times. I like Fios a lot better and glad we made the switch but when the price goes up after a year, I'll be playing the game again. We pay less than half of what we were paying, so it's all about the price for me.

We are switching Monday. Great deal..way cheaper than CV and only a one year contract. An additional $15 off per month if I get a verizon wireless account which we were thinking of doing.
