VENT
This is really getting irritating now. For the last 3 months I have been having mid cycle spotting so that about every two weeks I am bleeding. I have gone to the doctor, they have run tests and nothing. I can't even track my cycle properly because I don't know what is going on. My doctor isn't much help and I don't know what the questions I should be asking or what tests they should be doing now.
I feel like time is being wasted and I don't have the time to waste. I am hesitant to switch doctors because I feel like they are going to want to start all over again from square one with the testing that I have already had done and just want to figure out what is going on so that I can TTC without this question mark hanging over me.
Then there is a little piece of me that says that this is happening now as a sign that this is not the time for us. I am a big believer in everything happens for a reason and feel like maybe this is God telling me that its not the right time for us because none of this started happening until we were TTC.
Thanks for reading ladies

Re: VENT
First of all you need to feel comfortable with your dr. I would find a new dr and have your records transfered over so you won't have to have all those tests done again, they can just look at your results from the past.
I just think that is the first thing you need to do. Good luck

Re: VENT
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.
First and foremost, you should trust your intuition. If you feel like you should explore your options with other doctors... then I would DEF do so. They can just transfer everything over to the new doctor, so you won't have to go through all of the testing again. I think you owe it to yourself to exhaust all of your options and I would start with getting at least 1 more doctor's opinion.
Good Luck! Everything will work out!!

Re: VENT
I agree, I would change doctors and have all of your records transfered...you can do that so that you dont have to get tested twice for the same thing. You need to feel comfortable with you doctor and know that they are doing the best for you....if you feel like your doctor doesnt care or isnt trying hard enough to figure out whats going on, then I would go somewhere else. There will be a doctor who will figure it out

Re: VENT
What color is the spotting? How heavy is it? I know you said mid-cycle, but is it happening on the same CD each month? How are you tracking (or attempting to track) you cycle? Is it happening before, during, or after O? What tests have you had already?
Not a doc, but I'm going through the same thing. If you decide to change doctors, they can transfer your information.
Fell free to FM me if you want to rant.

Re: VENT
I went to my Dr cause I was having mid cycle bleeding. THey did a internal sono and blood work and on the sono they found polyps. I had them removed. It was a out patient procedure and once they were gone so was the mid-cycle bleeding. I out for 1 cycle.
I would speak to your Dr. ongoing mid-cycle bleeding is not normal.

Well, the spotting has been very dark, varying from dark red to brown to almost black (sorry TMI) Sometimes it is very light, almost see-through and only when I wipe and goes as heavy as needing to wear a liner. It is not happening on the exact same day but within a couple of days.
I think I may look into switching my ob/gyn. Does anyone know of a good one in Queens?
Thanks for all your help ladies!

Re: VENT
Hi. I definitely think you should seek another professional opinion. You know your body the best and if you feel like something is not right, go with your instinct. I would look up another doctor and request all your history to be sent to the new doctor so you wouldn't have to redo the tests all over. Good luck with it!
