How many days before AF do you normally have cramps?
I feel like AF cramps come earlier and earlier each month I've been TTC and have become a major tease!
Last month, 5 days before AF was due, this month, 8 days before.
I know, I know "could be implantation cramping" but I like to be a pessimist about this stuff. 
How early do your AF cramps usually start?

I honestly have cramps throughout my entire cycle since coming off the BCP. It's annoying and doesn't help me in deciphering any symptoms of O or AF.

Real AF cramps? Or twinges I just hoped were implantation cramps? 
I would say i felt AF cramps from 7 or 8DPO on. The 2 times I was pregnant they started earlier (6 and 5DPO, respectively).

I get very mild cramping a few days before--but the bad cramps don't start until TBAF shows up.

I've been thinking the same thing! My entire "menstrual life" I've gotten AF cramps at MOST 1-2 days before AF.
The past few months though have been anywhere from 5-6 days before. *****???

This month I had a tiny bit of pink spotting and pretty strong cramps from 5 days before AF actually came on full force. This had never happened to me before. So irritating!

I usually only start cramping the day AF arrives. When I got pregnant with my DD I started cramping at 5DPO and I got my BFP at 10DPO.

I think this is the answer. I can't remember anything about my cycle before TTC. In the years before I was on BCP, I don't ever remember seeing EWCM, though I'm sure it was there.
It's like when you're planning a wedding, you go to a wedding with different eyes and suddenly start snapping pics of the CP's, place cards, favors, etc.
Before I got engaged, I couldn't tell you--the day after a wedding--what the CP's looked like

So far, since being off BCP my CD1 usuall falls on a Monday and I've been cramping the two days or so leading up to CD1.

Ha its so true...just last month I got AF like cramps a week before AF was due and that never happened...I usually get it 2-3 days before AF...TTC seriously plays games with my head!

It's crazy because I was exactly the same way. I keep noticing things that I think are new symptoms, but when I really think about it, who knows if they weren't happening then and I just wasn't paying attention. Now it's like every little thing that happens I'm recording it on FF and then comparing that to the same CD of the previous month.
And same goes for wedding planning. I remember going to a bunch of weddings before we got engaged and then after we got engaged saying to myself, I wish I paid attention at those weddings. I couldn't tell you anything about them except for the location and MAYBE the bridesmaid dresses lol. It's funny how the mind works!
