Bradley Method?
I remember a few posts in the past about this, but if you are doing this, or considering it, please tell me about it and where you get it done.
I haven't found out details, but it seems expensive, and not sure if it worth it.
TIA

Re: Bradley Method?
I am signed up for a weekly class Jan 3 to Feb 7th 7-9:15. The instructor we are taking it with is named Celeste Rachelle and does it in six sessions instead of 12 so that it's not as inconvenient- bc I really don't see any way DH going to 12 classes, haha, or even me for that matter! The classes are six couples and taught from her home in Roslyn Heights. The cost is $300 and includes whatever materials. She also mentioned having a pretty extensive lending library as well.
There was another instructor named Erin Maher that I checked out and seemed really good but Celeste's schedule and location was better for us. You can google them both as they are involved in other birthing education things aside from Bradley.
If you go to the Bradley Method website it has the course info but the instructors break it up differently to cut down on amount of classes. Some do 9 weeks I believe but like I said 6 sounded the best for us!
I would like to have a natural birth but they also talk about pain meds in case you change your mind or have to do a C. This is my first baby so I am keeping an open mind about pain meds- if I end up wanting it bad enough I am getting them- BUT I am also going in prepared to not have them. I read some statistic and basically it's like people who want to do it natural but have no plan like Bradley etc almost never end up going through with it bc they just don't have the skills to cope with the pain. At least like this I feel prepared.

Re: Bradley Method?
Also, it includes a lot of the info like bfing and what to do w/ newborns, which for me costs extra at the hospital (NSUH classes are expensive) so the price isn't bad when you consider that if you were going to take other classes. It does not however include any kind of cpr or first aid so we will prob take that one class in addition.

Re: Bradley Method?
DH and i took a Bradley class. We did it bc we are hoping for a natural (unmedicated) birth and we wanted to get educated.

Re: Bradley Method?
Does anyone have any feedback about classes with Celleste or Erin Maher? I also have been looking into their classes but haven't found much feedback about their courses.
