What temp is your heat on overnight?

I'm asking this here because I'm asking as a mom, not really as a home question. I'm thinking we keep it way too cold at night in here. I like it cold and then wear a ton of blankets. Ava loves to snuggle under a huge comforter, too, so we keep the heat at 62. I wake up to use the bathroom and it's freezing. I wonder if I'm keeping it too low for her?

But our house is very drafty, so it feels colder than that. But I am like you.

I like it cool, too, but Sabrina's room seems to be drafty so I have to put it up to 68 so that it is warm enough in her room. Before Sabrina, we used to keep it around 64-65.

We have blankets and the babies have footy pjs and fleece sleepsacks.

ETA: I have it at 65 during the day.. I feel I can dress everyone in layers - I'd rather conserve energy.

I'm the same way, I humor DH when he puts it up to 68-70 and as soon as he goes to bed I push it downChat Icon

Re: What temp is your heat on overnight?

We usually keep at 68 but I wind up waking up paranoid that it is too cold in DS room and I turn it up to 69. I like it cold too but DS's room drops a few degrees more than our bedroom so by the time the heat kicks back up again it can drop to 64 in DS's room. He won't keep blankets on and I'm worried that it's too warm when he goes to sleep to put the sleep blanket on. He's probably fine, but again ...I'm paranoid! If your DC hasn't been waking up, your temp probably fine.

66 overnight. I think at times that's too warm, as I like it cold! i also think the temp is off on our thermostat, so it is probably more like 62 and not 66.

Re: What temp is your heat on overnight?

With the new baby we keep it at 66 at night. With my first DD, we put in a separate baseboard heating and that was nice. We would keep her heat at 66 and the house would be at 60. Can't do that with the new baby b/c she doesn't have separate heat.

Re: What temp is your heat on overnight?

It's so weird...our house is only 4 years old, but I feel like it gets pretty cool, especially in DD's room. We keep the heat at 73 in our room, and the thermostat in her room reads 71. But it feels chillier than that...maybe my NY blood has finally thinned out Chat Icon

68. However jacens room is colder than that (we keep his door closed), but he's usually hot in general, so i hope it's fine. Chat Icon

71Chat Icon ETA - DDs room for some reason doesnt stay warm so if I dont leave the heat higher, her room would be freezing in the am.

We live in the draftiest house ever. The heat is set on 69, but it always reads 65 in James' room.

Our house is super drafty so even though we keep the heat at 68 at night, it is FRIGID in here!

Re: What temp is your heat on overnight?

We have a 5 day old so we keep it at 69-70. Usually with just DH and I we would keep it on 61. I dont like it on too high.
