Escrow Shortage AGAIN
Every freaking year my mortgage is going up because my lender has an escrow shortage on my account.
I do have my taxes and insurance rolled into my payment, so I guess I need to shop for new insurance, any suggestions?

we have had an escrow shortage every year we have been in the house...it was just 7 years. sometimes we pay the shortage in one lump sum other times we spread it out over a few payments.

It probably has to do with your taxes increasing if you escrow them. See what the true breakdown is. Plus, the mortgage company always takes more than the actual taxes & homeowners cost. I took my taxes and homeowners out of escrow b/c they were taking an extra $150/mo. to just sit there but yet according to them I always had a shortage

This has happened to us every year that we've been in the house- and we've been in the house 5 years! Its SO frustrating!
