PJs for the hospital
Quick question... I'm due in Nov. How cold/hot are the hospital rooms? I'm assuming I should have DARK cotton pjs, right? No flannel or long sleeves?
Any BTDT moms with advice?

Where'd you find lightweight pants??? I'm finding all flannel and super stretchy cotton... I just want plain, drawstring, cotton pants- in black

Re: PJs for the hospital
I wore yoga pants day and night at the hospital. I had a couple of pairs of dark grey and a couple of black. I wore t-shirts with them.
I also brought a robe, but didn't have to use it. I was warm most of the time. I was a January mom.
I also didn't BF so if you are BFing then you might want to bring button down shirts or nursing tanks/shirts.

Re: PJs for the hospital
personally I kept the gown on for the whole time , except the last day. I had c section so I was there for 5 days. I wore a nursing gown the last day. first, I wasn't even nursing, then my chest was huge and totally sticking out, Next time I'll wear the gown the whole time.

Re: PJs for the hospital
Funny, I was just thinking about this. IMO, hopsitals are always cold so I wouldn't rule out flannel. The VS website has some nice faux wrap tees that would work well as a "nursing PJ top", I think.

Re: PJs for the hospital
i have learned after working 10 years in hospitals that you must dress in layers... you can go from one temp to the next within minutes of each other and each room is different....
with ds i wore a nursing tank and sweatpants but that was sept... with #2 i plan on doing the same but adding in a robe... i do have to say that i wore the hospital gown the first night because i was hooked up to an iv until the following morning

Re: PJs for the hospital
Im always cold but was not cold at the hospital. I brought pj bottoms and didnt even use them. I ended up wearing the hospital gown the first two nights and then little sleevless nightys from there. I brought a robe as well and would but that on when visitors came.

Re: PJs for the hospital
I thought the hospital was cold and that was June. Extra warm fuzzy socks were a must for me and dark colors too. I liked having very loose pants, a top, and the pajama top over it. yoga pants/capris were great to come home in.

Re: PJs for the hospital
It was a million degrees in mine in JANUARY.
I would bring tanks and long sleeve cotton shirts just in case.
I wore sweat pants and tanks the whole time and I had a C....I was fine!!!

Re: PJs for the hospital
I wore a pair of sweats and a tank in October during the day. I had a robe if I got cold.
At night, I wore the hospital gown. It make it easier for the nurses to check anything they wanted to, and I didn't bleed on any of my own clothes.
I would recommend wearing the hospital gown at night. I was never cold, warm if anything bc you still have wild hormones.

Re: PJs for the hospital
I'm due the end of October and I just packed one pair of light pj pants. Everything else I packed was black light sweats that I got at Models, and a pair of yoga pants. I also packed reg. tee shirts and a few tanks. I'm always hot so I am not really worried. I have a sweatshirt if I get cold.

Re: PJs for the hospital
From Motherhood I got some nursing PJ's that consist of incredibly soft cotton pants, a nursing tank, and a little long sleeve short cover-up jacket / robe in the same soft cotton material. I got a pair in black and in dark grey. I was going to save them for after delivery, but I couldn't resist. They are SO comfy! I am wearing them right now.

Re: PJs for the hospital
I delivered in March and my room was always hot. I had a C/S so I kept the hospital gown on for most of the time but the last day, I wore satin/silk P.J's that I bought from target. They were super comfortable and they made it easier to get out of bed since they were slippery.
