Opinions Needed
I put up this roman shade in my son's room this weekend. The shade is 32" but the window is 34", so there is a little too much room on either side. I need to put up side curtains. The colors of the shade are navy, white and light blue. His room is BM little boy blue. The room is a fire truck theme with red & white accents.
What type of side curtain would you get?
Matching: (i would get it in the navy like the shade is)
White Sheers: (here what they look like with a shade)

Solid Navy Curtain:

Re: Opinions Needed
I would put up the solid navy so it keeps some light out. The sheer will just let the light in.
My second option would be the matching ones.

My second option would be the matching ones. i agree. as long as the rest of the room is light-colored i don't think it will be too dark. i think the striped ones are a bit too matchy though.

Solid navy...I'm doing something similar as well. DS's room is a very light blue, I have white shades, white sheers with navy blue blackout panels.

Re: Opinions Needed
I would go with the solid navy. It might just be too many stripes in one area if you went with the striped shade and curtains. The sheers wouldn't keep out enough light because the shades don't go over enough. I think the solid would work best. I can't wait to see the room finished, sounds adorable.

solid navy - the stripes would be a bit too much IMO, whereas the solid navy would compliment the color and still provide the protection from the light that you wouldn't get with sheers. are the navy curtains from the same manufacturer as the shades? how would you know if the navy was the same navy and would go with it?
