flu shot and MMR together

Hi

I read on Dr. Sears website that they should be given a month apart from each other. Pediatrician said its fine to give together. I am just curious if anyone gave them to DC on same day..thanks

I trust Dr. Sears since he really follows the news and research on vaccines... if he thinks they should be taken separate, why take the chance?

Also, every baby is different so you have to take that into consideration too.

my PED does them together, but I don't want them together just feel like it's a bit too much

I just made an appt for DD for her one year and asked this same question. My ped does not do them together and recommended the flu shot first and the MMR two weeks later...I am going to make the appt 3 weeks from her flu shot appt.

I would separate them. In fact, DD is due to get both...I'll get her the flu shot in the next few weeks and the MMR a month or so after that.

We were told it was safe but we did it separate only because if there were side effects, I wanted to know which shot was causing them.
