How do you know if you Oed????? Do you go buy just CM,or OPK?

I didn't want to temp because it lets you know that you already "o"d ...I used OPK because it detects before you "o" ...it was just my preference.
I also know if I "o"d when I get a little pain on my right side or sometimes left.
I'll let you know if it worked

Before I was TTC, I kinda knew when I was Oing by CM and sometimes "middle-shmerz" (can't spell  ) and also charting on mymonthlycycles.com. The past 2 months I started using an OPK (the one with the lines) but this month I am planning to use the Clear Blue Digital.

Technically you can't know for sure if you've ovulated unless you are temping. You can still get the +OPK and EWCM and not ovulate. The temp rise is the only indication (short of testing performed by your doc) that you have definitely ovulated.

exactly. i have been going by CM and using OPKs, but this month i am temping to confirm ovulation.

I use OPK's and CM (sometimes) temping is just too much for me to handle as I'm trying to keep my stress levels as low as possible.

I don't use OPKs, but if it didn't happen this month I will start using them next month. I usually go by CM. This month though I didn't get the CM like I was expecting, but I did have the cramping and some blood in my CM (TMI ).

This is definitely true, but since you won't know for sure from temping until after the fact (therefore missing your window), by checking CM and possibly CP, you would know ahead of time when to EXPECT ovulation. If you use OPK's and also check your CM, you will have a really good indication of when O is imminent. Like mentioned above, you may gear up to O and then not O, that's why I always say that if you have EWCM, you should BD even if you think you already O'd because you never know!

The OPK detects the LH surge, which normally happens just before ovulation, however the LH surge does not cause you to ovulate. So you can get the surge, then due to stress or other circumstances, your ovulation can either be delayed or you could be anovulatory that month.
Tracking by OPK and CM will give you clues as to when you are most likely to ovulate, but the only thing that will confirm that ovulation has taken place is your rise in temperature. After your temperature has risen it is pretty much too late to conceive, but it confirms that you are indeed ovulating, and it gives you a better idea what CD you normally ovulate. Your best bet is to use OPKs, CM, and temping in conjunction.

I refused to temp because I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle it. Just the fact that it has to be done the same exact time every morning was too much for me. Not to mention that a bad night's sleep could give you a false reading (which I seem to always have "off" nights. lol). So i just went with OPKs. At first (before i was really TTC, but starting to get my body ready) I never saw a positive and decided to give up on them. I didn't track CM because I feel like mine is too unpredictable. This last cycle, I finally gave the OPKs one more shot and thank God I did.

I don't temp b/c I never go to sleep & get up at the same time. Also I sleep like a beast, and toss & turn. I just go by CM for now. If we don't get a BFP in a few months I am going to start using OPK.

I just go by CM. I used to temp, but stopped doing it once I got to know my cycles and realized I didn't need to.
It has worked perfectly for me when TTC, both times and worked perfectly when TTA for the past 3 1/2 years.

According to my doc, no one does unless they get a sonogram daily. I guesstimate using CM and O pains and checking my cervical position.

The first time I got PG, I only OPK'd. This time I only went by CM & so far...I have only BFN's. I was going to temp next month, but now that I know it will be "too late", I'll go back to OPK's. Best of luck
