Re: Discussed many times-Cablevision
we pay around $160 for the triple play w/ 2 premium channels, 2 HD boxes one with DVR.
i think the reason they may not budge when you threaten to switch is because they expect to get you back as a customer. BIL has FIOS and his contract is up on 9/12 and he will be switching the same day back to cablevision. i know quite a few people w/ FIOS who are switching back to cablevision because they are so unhappy w/ FIOS, so that could be a reason why cablevision is not willing to budge on their prices.

Re: Discussed many times-Cablevision
$176 a month with taxes and fees. It's insanity how much they can charge.
But we pay it.
We have: All 3 services (family cable with IO package, internet and phone) HBO and HBO on demand 2 cable boxes DVR serivce
Cable is $111; internet is $45 and phone is $20.
We've been customers for 2 years at our current address. We have optimum rewards and get $5 off internet and $15 off phone. If phone was $35 a month we wouldn't have it. At $20 it's not too bad.

148
internet silver package (HBO, Starz, Encore) HBO On Demand DVR/HD box + 1 reg box
we will probably go with the triple play when we move. We've had vonage for so long, we never changed (when we moved they told us that we couldn't do the triple play with the silver package - which I think was a bad sales person).

I had directTV a few years ago and wanted to poke my eyeballs out.
They were worse than Cablevision.
that was a few years ago but it left a bad impression on me.
Their customer service sucks but they make up for it with so many HD offerings
And I have a neat app on my iPhone that lets me set my box from work/train

Re: Discussed many times-Cablevision
We have triple play- one DVR box for $118 (including tax), no premium channels.
I'm in my second year, I called them after the year was up and they lowered my new price- I think I got rid of all channels over 100 and they gave me a discount on the phone.
I miss time warner.

$140 with all taxes for all three services, and we have basic cable, Howard TV but only one regular box.

Re: Discussed many times-Cablevision
$169.
We have all three services, HBO, HBO On Demand, one HD DVR and one regular DVR.
I hate them so much. I had a billing error with them and I got literally SIX different "reasons" why.
But I am TOB, they could care less about me saying I'm going to switch to FIOS b/c it doesn't exist here

Re: Discussed many times-Cablevision
Apparently there is no set price for them. However they seem pretty good about crediting, or changing your package to get a better deal. I told them I was going to leave and they gave me free dvr and another credit for the next year. We pay 152 for the gold package (all cable channels) 2 hd boxes, one dvr box, internet and phone. So who knows what the real deal is.
