I am sure we have discussed this before. I am floored by things I learn from just reading on facebook
I have learned so much about people I know, some of whom are my FB friends and some who are friends of friends. At this very moment all I can say is wow. Some people a.)really know exactly how to screw up their lives b.) really should be a bit more discreet or c.) ought to keep their opinions to themselves before they get their behinds kicked. All I did was read a day's worth of stuff and I am floored. I cannot even imagine what I would find out if I looked back into the archives!!!!
I can also say that the reverse is true, though. There are many people from my past who have completely impressed me since I reconnected with them . Many are genuine people who have great lives  . But, man the wackos keep me enterrtained!!!!!!!!!!!

When it gets to be too much, just delete them.
Really though, I keep my FB experience as positive and drama free as possible. If that ever changed, I'd have to do a little thinning of the herd.

Yeah, that sealed the deal and convinced me that you are really crazy  .
I can't just delete these people because it is too entertaining and/or it is like a trainwreck that I have to watch. Especially the friend who posted about the heat in So Cal  .

Yup. I saw something recently that someone posted sharing private client info (they work in the human services field too).
Granted some of my clients drive me nuts sometimes but I would never post any identifying kinds of details.

Oh, BTW, I recently posted about someone I know putting a naked full frontal pic of their daughter on FB.........ANOTHER person posted one the other day of her naked son who is around 4 years old. Also full frontal. Guess what profession both of these people happen to be in as well? I starts with a T and involves working extensively with kids.  I never realized until the invention of this website, how incredibly stupid some of the people I know are.

You have no idea what people think of me. I am the only one NOT complaining on LI about the heat. I am the one who says we had a crappy Summer with only 3 weeks of Summer.
Yes, I was told I was insane too!!!!
I would LOOVE to be in CA... minus the quakes of course!

I'm certainly not saying that facebook is not wonderful. I reunited with some college buddies who were a very special part of my life and now they are again.
As for people posting inappropriate things, I do have to watch what I post because I have work connections on FB. However, they all know that what you see is what you get with me and that outside of court, I have a silly sense of humor.

I swear it is hotter then heck right now and we are having humidity on top of that. So Cal isn't known for humidity. we usually have dry heat. What's going on in So Cal the last few years?!!!  It's 100-106 PLUS and humid on top of that! It's not like it's 90* but with the humid factor it feels like 100 either!

I agree, I don't thinkpeople realize that so much of what they publish on FB and other sites is noy as hidden, both in terms of who sees it, and in terms of how revealing/transparent people are when they try to speak in code. It's all out there, and people would be mortified if they realized that or saw it through others' eyes.

LOL if you think that's crazy you should go on some Eastern European public forums It's such a normal thing to post your kid's naked pic on a public forum,( running around the house naked,taking a bath,posing naked ......) they think it's cute and adorable, no one even thinks there is anything wrong with it, the other day I posted on one of the forums saying that I don't think it's a good idea to have your child's naked pics online ...... and I GOT FLAMED !!! They thought I was crazy and they made me out to be some pervert or something

Same here. In our profession, we could get in deep poopie for posting the wrong thing. I have waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too many colleagues on there! Silly is one. Innapropriate is another. Although I love watching other people do it so I can

wow! i consider myself pretty laid back but i would have to agree with you. i guess i am not going back to my roots anytime soon
