it rained...it poured!...and it showered!!!
hi everyone!!! so Saturday was my shower.
the day was just awful. the tent company came friday to set up the tent and chairs that we never used ultimately b/c it poured for most of the morning, and the ground was just to saturated and dreary to expect anyone to sit outside....so...
we swtiched gears, rearranged from furniture, and our lil house on the hill hosted 56 people!!! I never thought we could fit that many comfortably, but it worked.
Everyone loved the house, and we had a really nice assortment of food. our house was filled with happiness and love and we were given many wonderful gifts. Newton has enough blankets to see him/her to the next Ice Age   (and mommy may steal one or two...soooo soooffftt)
there WERE a few snafus and upsets (no one ordered the cake...the blame game was played...but we ran out last minute and got one that was just fine. none of the guests were the wiser) and a few other things that are not worth mentioning.
ultimately, so many people came to celebrate with us. they came with their families..and their own good news (a good friend of mine told us she was preggo with her 3rd..and the world should be all the happier b/c she and her husband make GORGEOUS babies  ) and we had a really nice time.
and I really really must talk to you all about my husband. I can't go into too much detail b/c I am at work and I might start to bawl...but I cannot express how wonderful he is in words. He was unflappable. he did EVERYTHING to make this day a happy one for me..despite the rain, despite the mishaps, trials, and tribulations...I have never ever in my life had someone work so hard just to make things "right". He broke his back for me, for US, for his child, and for our guests this weekend. I don't know how to repay him...how to show him how very thankful and blessed he makes me feel. I love him. so much.
I also want to thank you all for your well wishes and advice. I DEEPLY appreciate it. really. 
so here are some pics...I forgot my make up in brooklyn and my family didn't get it to me in time...and I was too busy setting up food and getting people set to fix my hair....but here you go...

the kids were seriously the best part of gift opening...they get SO EXCITED!!
thank you again for looking and talking me down from the ledge when needed.
