Smoke detector in DC's room?

We have a smoke/CO detector outside of our room which is about 10 feet from DS's room.

Should we put one IN his room? What did you all do?

ETA-We rent though, so our landlord installed them

We have one in our room, DD's room and out in the hall way and they are within 3 ft of one another.

We have one on the outside of her room and in the inside.
Not sure if we're just being paranoid though, but I felt much safer with one on the inside.

We have them in each bedroom.. and a carbon monoxide detector in the hallway.

I rent and my Landlord just handed us a notice from the town that smoke detectors need to be installed in all bedrooms. She provided them to us and my DH installed them...than an inspector came. We have one in our bedroom, DS room, and the hallway close to the kitchen!

i have a smoke/carbon dioxide detector directly outside our and DS's rooms. i have nothing inside.

We have battery operated smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in each bedroom and a smoke detector that's hardwired into our alarm system in the hallway outside all the bedrooms.

we rent & there is one installed in each of the 3 bedrooms & the Living room/kitchen area

We have the smoke alarm outside thier rooms, but the Co detector in their rooms

We have a smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector in the hallway which is probably about 6-8 feet from both our bedroom door and DD's.

We have them in the upstairs hall and all the bedrooms. I would def put on in the bedroom.

Building code for Town of Islip (I'm sure most towns are the same) is a smoke detector in every bedroom, and a CO detector on every floor.

We also have hallway ones, living room, basement, etc. They are all wired together (which makes it really fun if something burns on the stove, and the whole house is beeping like crazy! ) I think we have at least 11 wired together right now, plus a few battery powered ones.
