In need of an OB Rec. for South Nassau...
hi there, i'm just about 14 weeks and have been really let down by the midwife i'm seeing. i don't feel i'm getting the care that i should. my questions are blown off and there is an air of disbelief when i share what's been going on. i know i can find better care.
with that said - i hear a lot about m2b's who have nutritionist's, OB and midwife, just midwife, or just an OB. it's getting so confusing and overwhelming and all i want is to make sure we're getting the proper care.
i'd like to deliver at south nassau because its really close to home. i'd like a midwife but am beginning to think its overrated from what i've experienced.
so now i'm really hoping to get some recommendations on OB's in the area close to south nassau, and/ or midwives who are exceptional. i just want to feel like i'm getting proper care and not being ignored.

I highly recommend my ob/gyn practice, I found it by looking on the boards and then 2 people my mom asked actually recommended them too.
I see Dr. Blinderman in Rockville Centre. It is an all-female practice, 2 dr.s Blinderman and King, as well as 3 certified nurse midwives. I think one of them is a NP, not sure.
Anyway, from day 1 they have been wonderful. AT my 1st apptmt which my DH accompanied me too, we were there for an hour. They did an internal, etc, and then we went into an office where we were given materials about pregnancy, explained how the practice worked, answered any and all questions, just great.
I could go on and on but I can definitely say I am very pleased. A million times better than my old practice.
Oh, they deliver at South Nassau, Mercy, and Winthrop.

Could not agree more! This is who I go to & through everything I have gone through, they have been wonderful. Right now I have been seeing Dr Blinderman exclusively but I have dealt with everyone else throughout the pregnancy.
None of your questions get blown off either. If you call the nurses for a question, they will call you back within 1 hour & are always willing to help you out. There is not one bad thing I can say about them. My SIL used them since she was 16 & has delivered 2 children with them

Dr. Polina Kagen in Oceanside.....
I really like her.... her office is right down the block from South Nassau.

i have to agree with the pps i see dr. blinderman also and although i have not seen her yet for this pregnancy. as my gyn they have been great. my friend just delivered with them and she has nothing but good things to say

I go to Island Obstetrics and Gynecology and I use Dr. Zachary Levokove. He is wonderful. FM me for anything you would like to know.
