Need OBGYN rec's (delivers at South Nassau)
DH and I want to TTC but i want to find a new Dr. who delievers at South Nassau.
Do you have any recommendations for an OBGYN? who are they? where are they located? and Why do you recomment them.

i go to LI Women's Health Care Associates in bellmore on merrick road. dr. kuncham is great but she doesn't deliver. dr. gates seems nice but i only met her once. dr. glasser (glasser-caine) did my c-section and i love her! the entire practice is nice, and most of the nurses are very nice too. plus the have a very high tech sono machine on site. the only thing is you have to go to sunrise labs for any extensive bloodwork.

i go to LI Women's Health Care Associates in bellmore on merrick road. dr. kuncham is great but she doesn't deliver. dr. gates seems nice but i only met her once. dr. glasser (glasser-caine) did my c-section and i love her! the entire practice is nice, and most of the nurses are very nice too. plus the have a very high tech sono machine on site. the only thing is you have to go to sunrise labs for any extensive bloodwork.

really? that is so odd.
dr. gates doesn't have much of a bedside manner, that's a definite negative. i adore dr. kuncham, but she doesn't deliver, so i saw her most of my pregnancy and then met with dr. glasser a couple of times towards the end.

I go to Ob and Gyn Services of Rockville Centre. They are at 165 n.Village Ave in RVC. It is 2 female drs. They both deliver at South Nassau. So far I love everyone in the office. 516-764-5380.
Its Dr.Blinderman and Dr.King.

I just wanted to say I used to see Gates too and wasn't thrilled. I found she wasn't professional enough in the way she presented herself. I understand it just may be her style- and maybe that makes some feel more comfortable- but for me, considering the types of things she does to you down there, I prefer she speak to me more like a dr than a neighbor  That was just MY opinion of her though! I was recommended to her by someone who loves her! So, clearly everyone has their preferences.........
Also, I had some problems with my BCP once and asked her what I should do and her response was "it's really up to you, etc." .. really never gave me definitive answers about things, and said lots of stuff was up to me .. .what pill I want to go on ... etc..... and, I'm not medically trained, so how am I supposed to know these things? 
Again, just my opinion.

Dr. Dean, All Island OB/GYN in Garden City. It's the practice where Dr. Braverman used to be. He is incredible. He really cares about his patients. Once, he knew I was stressed out and asked if I wanted to just take a nap for a while. He said some patients remark that the hour there is their only break from their day and will ask to just be left alone for a bit to relax. His concern is always YOU.

i agree with you. she did something similar to me. I was on the BC patch and i was experienceing constant charlie horses at night. I mentioned it to her and she was not concerned at all. i was fearing a blot clot or something. i went off of it and the charlie horses stopped. I just was not pleased with her at all!

I go to both Dr. Kuncham and Gates and I've liked them both...I think it's a great practice.

I think my dr does. Dr. Joan Haselkorn 516-255-2044. She is on Merrick Rd. in Rockville Ctr.
