spotting: nervous only 5 weeks.UPDATE
sorry for the tmi I am 5 weeks and today when I wiped I noticed pink to brownish color on the toilet paper. I got so upset. My first drs appt is on Thursday. I am so nervous now. I have also had extremely light cramping but I had this with first pregnancy. Please help--any advice. please ease my mind.
Update: I called my dr. he said to come in. he did a ultrasound. we saw a heartbeat, the baby is measuring around 5w5d, but it could be off since I ovulated so late. The heartbeat was 90 bpm, which he said was normal. He took blood to check levels. I go back next week for a follow up.

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant...I too spotted at 5 weeks I called the doctor and they were not concerned at all..i explained the color to them (sorry if tmi) and they said it is totally normal to spot and I was a late implanter...I also had af like cramps...as long as it is not constant and bright red i believe everything is fine

At 5 wk5d I had that kind of spotting for 3 days and everything was fine...call your md and see what they say. Mine had me go in for a sono-but that early on all I had was a sac.

I"m currently 16w3d and I had some spotting around 6w. It's common.

Women can spot for many different reasons during early pregnancy. If it's red/continues and is accompanied by cramping, call your doctor.

i had brown spotting in week 5 also with light AF like cramping. the dr said as long as the blood didnt turn red that everything should be fine. as soon as i hit week 6 the spotting stopped! im now 26w3d!

I had spotting with both of my previous pregnancies. So far this time around I havent had any, but I'm dreading it because it makes me very nervous as well.

i have had spotting with both pregnancies, but I have low progesterone so I went on prometrium and it helped both times and my spotting stopped

So glad that the sono showed everything is progressing well! I bled alot during my first trimester with my DD. So, it does happen... Hang in there!
