Spinoff...How do I clean bottles?

I am due in 6 days Chat Icon and want to wash some bottles. I have Born Free and Doctor Brown's.

Do I put everything in the dishwasher, or just the bottle part and not the nipple? Chat Icon Do I have to do anything by hand?

Thanks! Chat Icon Are the nipples top rack only? Do you put them in anything so they don't fall? Chat Icon

Dr Browns have a dishwasher case. I throw them in there. I believe Born free does too.

I washed everything by hand using a bottle and nipple brush, then boiled to sterilize.

I usually put everything in the top rack. I used to have a basket that I put the nipples in so they didn't fall. You can get it at BRU.

We have bornfree....
EVERYTHING is top rack only. EVEN THE GLASS!!! You can pop all parts into the dishwasher. the plastic/silicone parts go into one of those small plastic dishwasher containers for the top shelf (you can get it at BRU, target....)

the only problem we find is if the dishwasher is very full, the silicone parts will come out with a bit of a greasy film and subsequently need to be re-washed with a bit of dishliquid in the sink.

We never sterilized them... they only go in the dishwasher at our home.

I dish wash everything.

When my mom comes over, she will hand wash the bottles and then sterilize them with the microwave bottle sterilizer that we have.

Re: Spinoff...How do I clean bottles?

I used to hand wash them becuase they never dried all the way in the dishwasher, so I'd have to take them out and put them on the dryer anyway....

We have Doc Browns - I run everthing under hot water, and then put them in the doc brown microwave sterilzer - its clean and sterile in 5 mins - I love it! I can;t wait for the dishwaher to be full and then run, so I do not use dishwasher for bottles.

I use the dshwasher if I happen to be ready to run it and have bottles to wash. Otherwise I wash by hand with a little dsh soap and a bottle brush and the use the microwave sterilizer.

I also use the dishwasher basket for the nipples and caps. I think I got it at BRU.

I had both types and I just threw everything in the dishwasher. I have a bottle sterilizer too for the microwave.

Dishwasher, top rack, get yourself a basket made just for bottle parts. I use Dr. Browns for DD and dishwasher is the only way to go IMO!
