Lots of hugs and prayers. hang in there! I go to Madonna ( the Brightwaters location...there is a Mineola location too) and the nurses and Dr.'s are great.
When I went with my Son there was a girl I met on a terbutaline pump ...the one your mentioning which goes into your leg. she made it pretty far, like 37-38 weeks I think. And she said it wasnt bad at all. ( I had a different kind of pump on and we were comparing notes)....SO at least know if that happens its not the worse thing in the worls.

I hope everything turns out okay! Take good care of yourself! If you're on the oral meds...I'm asssuming it's terbutaline/brethine. I took it for a while with DS and it kept him in long enough to get me to term. I hope it works for you too!

oh Tara - my heart is with you!!!!!
prepare yourself - the NICU is a sad place to be....it killed me to be in there - learning the 'what if's'....but i'm happy to now know them - ya know?? I likely have TOO MUCH information - but at least i know the 'protocol'....
if there is ANYTHING i/we can do - please, let me know!!!!!!!!!

My friend goes to Madonna.. she likes it.. and a few others I know go there and have gone there.. so you will be in good hands.. also its a good thing you are at Good Sam since they have a NICU where as Southside does not! Hopefully DC stays pout for a few more weeks and follow doctors orders! Hang in there!!

How far along are you?
I had my DS at 29 weeks 6 days....he was 2 lbs. 13 oz. and now, 18 months later, he is as healthy as can be, and a whopping 25 lbs!

im so sorry you are going thru this. but i can honestly tell you from experience that bed rest works so well, and follow exactly what the doctor says. And you are already 29 weeks, so we arent even talking about survival, your baby if born today would be fine, but need some medical intervention for alittle while. The steroid shots will help significantly, i got those at 25 weeks. Also im a pediatric icu nurse, we were rotate and work as a nurse in the NICU every few months, 29 weekers do very very very well. You are in my prayers!

I'm 29 weeks today. That's a great story! So many of you have such good stories to share. Its def giving me hope!! Thank you and so happy to hear your little man is healthy!!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Take care of the two of you!!!
Good Sam is a great hospital and has a wonderful NICU. My cousin had her baby there at 24 weeks!!!! She was only 1 pound, 14 ounces. My cousin said the doctors and nurses there were wonderful and she doesn't know how should would have made it without them. Elizabeth (her DD) was there for months. That was 4 1/2 years ago and Elizabeth is doing wonderfully. You're in good hands.
