Re: Care to share your 6 month olds stats ??
We just went to the PEDI today with DD. She is a whopping 21.4lbs and 27". Our DR doesn't seem too concerned though saying once she crawls then walks it will get better. This weight is also due to the fact that we have been giving her rice cereal since she was 6 weeks due to BAD relfux.
She eats 4-5 6-7OZ bottles daily with 2 TBS of rice cereal (this will change soon). She is eating stage one fruit in AM..whole jar, and a whole jar of veggies in the PM.
Trying to wean a bottle away, having SOO much trouble figuring this all out. I've never given oatmeal, does it matter? Should I try instead of rice cereal?
As for what she is doing: Sitting up with a bit of support, just started to say Da-Da and babbles ALL THE TIME, gets in a crawling position but doesn't crawl YET, hold toys with two hands, answers to her name, picks her hands up when you say up, etc...
Sleeping, through the night since 2 MOS for 12 hous straight
Would love to hear from others too, good post!

Re: Care to share your 6 month olds stats ??
Jacob went last week. He is 28.25 inches and 17lbs 12oz.
He is eating 6 oz every three hours or so, with 1/2 jar of food and cereal for breakfast and lunch. The dr said to start yogurt, so I gave him some yobaby this week. He also prescribed vitamins.
Developmentally, he is up on all fours and can sit on his side. He can crawl a little, maybe 3 or 4 paces before he falls.
Hope you have a good appointment!

at 5.5 months, DS was 29.5 inches and 19 lbs 7 oz.....
he can sit on the couch pretty well, but can't sit up w/o support yet. He's not crawling.... he can eat many simple foods (apple, pear, peas, carrots) and can now sleep over 5 hours straight....

Re: Care to share your 6 month olds stats ??
My girls aren't 6 months but I remember what they were doing at 6 months, so I will share
Kaitee was: 18 lbs, 26 inches at 6 months.
She was sitting up at 5 months, starting crawling at 6 months 3 days old. She was pulling up and cruising and getting into the sitting position on her own by 6 1/2 months.
We tried baby foods around 6 months and she stopped sleeping through the night so we assumed it was upsetting her tummy so we skipped baby foods and started soft table foods at 7 months old.
Brooke was: 21 lbs 9 ozs and was 27 inches(those were her measurements at 7 months, she had her 6 month appointment 1 month late).
She was sitting and getting on all 4's and rocking at 6 months. She didn't crawl, pull up or cruise until 7 months old.
She was not ready for any solids until 8 months. She would even gag on breast-milk on a spoon. So she didn't start foods until 8 months because of her strong gag reflux (which thankfully went completely away at 8 months old). She also went straight to soft table foods.
