jack/jill baby showers
just curious? what are we all having ladies only or couples??
i have one aunt that is "insulted" that men aren't invited and she is making me feel somewhat of a witch

I think Jack & Jill showers are dumb. Most men rather give up a testicle then go.
During my shower, the men in my family (DH, my dad, DH's little brother, my cousins and my cousin's son) all went to Dave & Buster's. They had a lot more fun and were back in time to load up the cars to go home

I think if given the option most men would pass on the shower thing, unless the shower was held in a bar.

I was just metioning that to DH and he said that if othermen were there he would go to the jack and jill shower but if it were all female shower he would rather "give up a testicle".

At my shower it was only women, but there was a bar in the restaurant that my dad, DH, BIL and DH's friends went to hang out in until it was time to load the cars. I liked having them there though

We recently went to a jack/jill baby shower and the guys were wondering why they were there the whole time... it's not fun for them, they just don't get it.
For my shower my dad is having DH and the guys at his house to hang out and they will show up to the shower for the last hour or so.

i was thinking the same thing...although i would love it if DH could be there, is that weird?? to have DH at the shower???

While my DH is totally against a jack and jill shower he still wants to be there to share in the shower. But he doesn't want to be surrounded by all women. So our solution was to have him show up for a little bit, give him the daddy gift to be(we're doing a toolbox filled with all the necessisities) and then sending him off with a friends husband to go watch a game at the sports bar.
