Can I still get a flu shot at 40 weeks?
tried calling my OB's office, no answer. I've been feeling chills and sweats for the past 2 days, but I think it passed.. perhaps I dodged the cold/flu bullet ... this time. I was offered the flu shot at my 28 week appt, but opted out, since my one and only experience with the shot was not positive, but now I am so scared that I'll get the flu while having to take care a newborn

I got mine in the hospital after giving birth. At this point, I think I would wait, but def. call your dr and see.

Oh this is a good idea! I got through my OB's office, they don't have anymore vaccines left, but I will speak to my doc on Monday about it.
Thx

there should be no problem with getting it now. although if you're giving birth in the next few days, can't hurt to wait either if you're worried.

ITA! But I think if you get it before the baby is born in the last trimester I think - I read that it gives the baby immunity for 6 months or something like that.
