Is DH "enthusiastic" about your Diet?
DH wants to put me on a meal plan to make sure I eat enough protein and calories in general! Mind you, I'm in to my 14th week and have gained almost 14 pounds now (We have read lots of articles on the importance of early weight gain for twin pregnancies and he is really taking these to heart)... He wants me to drink 3 "Boost" drinks a day (high protein)... I've been drinking one or two each day, but he's just very "enthusiastic" (such a good word) about my continuing to gain weight.
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Anyone else's DH very in tune with their diets? My DH is usually the most laid back person ever, but he is definitely very interested in my diet these days. He just wants me to pack on the pounds.

he just wants to make sure I eat enough. There are times when I am just not hungry and I feel like, why eat if I am not hungry-- especially when it makes me feel so

oh my wonderful hubby tells the Dr. that I don't eat enough - - -what's wrong with men. I eat when I am hungry and the doctor said I am fine

Yes, He was OVERLY enthusiastic at the begining....DRIVING ME EFFING NUTZ!!!!!
I think DH's tend to get overbearing on this because they have no control or "active role" in pregnancy and they feel this is somethign they can control!
At 36 weeks though he knows to keep his mouth shut! If I want to eat 5 cookies and a glass of chocolate milk and then a piece of toblerone he knows to make sure he is serving it on a silver platter because I'm so irritable 
They usually calm down later in teh pregnancy!

since i've been on the GD diet - he has been very sweet. very not 'into' bringing food into the house that would upset me because i can't eat it...
for the first week, i told him that dinner is on HIM because i'm still learning what i can and can't eat...so he has to take care of himself for food for dinner...and he has been so kind with that...only bringing home things he knows i won't be DROOLING over...(he can barely boil water to cook for himself..).

He wasn't SUPER involved LOL but I also gained about the same weight by that point. Dr told me it was VERY common and important also. Of course I cringed looking at the scale LOL...it DEFINATELY slows down and you start to really just get belly......It's really sweet that he wants to be involved! Be thankful ....lol....I make DH eat snacks with me so i don't feel so guilty..he is HAPPY to comply LOL

he is very cute about it. When eating meals together, he will always say "make sure you are feeding our baby, we need him/her to grow strong" 
But he does not comment on what I eat. He knows I know what I should & should not be eating & I do know my limitations....

He is just constantly asking me if I ate enough, did I have any milk today, did I drink enough water...he's def. checking in on my eating.

DH is very good with checking to make sure I eat healthy food during my pregnancy. He will make me baked chicken cutlets so I have something quick and easy for lunch to go over spinach leaves (which he bought me yesterday).

the only thing mine asks me is if I am eating enough protein..because I have a bad habit of not doing so, I have to consciously make an effort. Other than that he is oblivious.

I remember one night where i yelled at him, "OMG DH, it's freakin' crystal light NOT heroine!!!!" 
(I didn't even drink it, but his reaction to me almost drinking it was ridic )
He's more cautious about the things that i shouldn't eat or drink. I don't eat the healthiest... i just eat ALOT in general. He's awesome about getting me anything i want, and between the 2 of us, we make sure to cover all the necessary food groups. But, yeah, he's definitely protective over my stomach.

It is there way of showing how much they care! My DH is good about making me meals too, and driving to the store at any hour to meet my craving.
