Yes, though we didn't have a sono at the first visit. Ours last about an hour, and was mostly filling out forms about medical history and talking to the doctor about the process/appts, and asking any questions. I was really glad to have him there to hear the answers to our questions.

He came with me to a few appts-- but, he really hasn't come to that many-- except for the big sonograms. It's not worth it to leave work to basically wait in the waiting room for an hour, then see the doc for 5 mins.
I also saw an RE, so I had an unexpected first sonogram-- but when I *knew* I was having one, he came with me. I had a bunch in the beginning. Then it was just 12 week and 20 week-- then I had an unexpected growth sono at like 34 weeks.

We got pregnant with IVF and DH was there for every appt. If I were to get pregnant naturally I would want him there too.

Ours was at the RE at 6 weeks and yes he came and was thrilled to see the heartbeat!
ETA: He doesn't come to my regular monthly appointments because I like to schedule them for the morning and it's not really worth him being there if there isn't more than blood pressure and weight going on. He did come with me for the ultra screen and then to the appt after the ultra screen to ask some questions and to the Level 2 sono, etc. (big things) He's been very involved and is so excited.

I totally agree. I think it is a huge waste of time for DH to miss work to watch me get my blood drawn, get weighed, etc. Most of my appointments last like 2-3 minutes. These days they literally just listen to the baby's heartbeat and ask me if I can feel the baby move.
I think the big appointments are 8 wk ultrasound, 12 week ultrascreen, 20 week Level II, and 32 week growth sono.

DH has been to every single one. He loves it. The only thing he did not go with me for was my 1 HR GT- no sense in putting us both through that boring wait

DH has come with me to every apt. I schedule them when hes off or on his way home from work. He works midnights. He always wants to be there even if its just a simple apt.

To the first sono but, once I switched from the RE to the regular midwife, he didn't go to those appointments. He does come to all sonos.
honestly if they aren't doing a sono.. It's just a lot of information gathering. Background info and whatnot. So I guess it is important to be there for that... but, the sono is what he really should be there for.

Unfortuantely Brian missed it He got stuck in the Bronx working! My mom came with me for support!
He has made every sono and doctors appt since then!

DH came to the first sono, but wasn't able to come to the first doctor appointment. i mainly just sat in the doctor's office anyway. he's been at everything since then. i try to schedule when we're both free when possible.

DH has been to every appointment so far... except my 1 hr glucose test... I also doubt he will come to EVERY appointment when they start every two weeks, or every week or so... and actually.. my mom is very excited to be able to come to those with me.. haha..

no.... dh went with me to all the appts last year when i had 2 mc's.. i was so paranoid and wanted to "change things up for luck" that i kept him home for the first visit/sono but he has come to every one since- even if its just bloodwork

My husband came with me to most of the appointments.
One tip for the first appointment - the sono will be internal, so he might want to stand near your head rather than at your feet.....my husband found that out the wrong way!
