Left dr's office today really pi$$ed off
Had a follow up visit today at ob. 1st it started with the nasty girl behind the desk about my insurance. New insurance started today. Didn't get the card yet but had all the info for them. She gave me such a hard time. I wanted to punch her in the face.
Then I got rushed through my entire appt. I have had 2 m/c's before DS was born so I consider myself high risk. They didn't want to do my urine. I made them. Then she rushed through the whole beginning questionare and was interupted about 3-4 times. Then she didn't even want me to see the doctor because SHE(the nurse) said there was no need. I wanted to see the doctor. DUH thats why I was there. Then the doctor comes in and tells me based on the previous (2 second sono) I had in beginning of sept that I am 10 weeks 2 days. I know that I should be 11 weeks 2 days because I know when I got pregnant. They refused to give me a sono to check the heartbeat because of INSURANCE reasons. So now it will be another week (total 5 weeks since my last sono) to know if the baby has a heartbeat. I lost one of my babies 11 weeks so I would love to know how things are going in there. I feel like waiting another week is a lifetime. They were not empathetic at all. I feel like my entire appt was rushed and I don't know what has happened to the personal touch of doctors offices.
Thanks for letting me vent. Please pray all is well with this baby because I am going crazy.

I'm sorry about your crappy experience. I think it's unacceptable that they treated you that way.

ooo that would annoy me to no end. I am sure your little one is ok, but I can totally understand how they SHOULD have put your mind at ease.
Hopefully the next appointment is better, and if it is, I would make a comment on how your last appointment was to the doctor at the next visit.

I agree that it's probably time to look for a new doctor. I'm sorry they didn't even try to help alleviate your worries.

I would switch doctors if I were you. What a terrible experience to put you through, I would be so upset. Sorry they treated you so poorly, I'd request my records and move on to another practice.

I'm sorry- I would be really mad too. Definitely switch doctors. You need a dr that will be supportive and understanding throughout the pregnancy.

Any suggestions on a new doctor. I live in West Islip.
Just another tidbit of info from this doctors office. When I was pregnant with DS I had to have non stress tests at the end of my pregnancy weekly. The last one I had they left me in the room for over an hour without checking on me. So I called the main number to tell them I was still there. They finally came in and unhooked me. This is a very well known practice.
Would love to find a better doctor.

Absolutely!! Especially with your profession... I would think they would treat you with kid gloves!

CHANGE DR's!
My OB does sono's at every office visit and doesnt charge if insurance doesnt cover it.
He also rana full panel of M/C related tests on me, that no other dr. felt neccesary yet and found issue I had ( after 2 m/c's)...

thats really ******. I'm sure everything is ok. I've often considered switching dr.'s because most of the women who work there always have bugs up there ***, but I love the dr. Whenever I call to ask a question they're so nasty so I'm basically the biggest snot in return. Good luck the at the next apt.
