TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

OK, so I'm starting to plan ahead and am realizing that internals are going to start in about 8 weeks for me...well considering I have not really been able to venture down there for about a month without the fear of doing some major damage anyone gotten a brazillian recently...I"m soooo terrified bc I heard we're more sensitive, I've been doing my regular eyebrow and lip wax, but we're talking about a much more sensitive region. I asked DH to help me out the other day and he said he's scared he's going to take something off by mistakeChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon so I can't count on him...any tips???Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I finally had DH clean up because I just can't see well enough. I was very nervous he was going to hurt me, but he is very careful. It took a lot of guts to allow him to do this.

I was SO going to post about this. I have basically been winging it. Yes winging it. I just kind of feel around and hope I dont miss. I have tried DH buzzer (for his sideburs) and it has been a blesssing. I figure I really cant damage to much with the dull buzzer, and the vibrating feels nice.Chat Icon

Re: TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

with last pregnancy i tried the whole mirror thing.. way too difficult in my opinion.. i kinda did the slow, gentle approach with feeling with other hand.. It takes a bit longer but after the first time you start to become a pro at it. Then i would just have dh take a look and make sure I didnt miss anything.

Re: TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

just winging it.....

I came to my senses with my hygiene routines after one morning at about 36 weeks when I spent 15 min struggling to buff the callous skin off of my heels... mind you my ankles and feet are swollen beyond recognition, but my heels, now THEY looked gorgeous Chat Icon

seriously, these OB's are the same ones we will inevitably and literally poop in the faces of while pushing... who are we trying to impress? I just do my best with the razor, and that's it.....

I agree, I'm sure they've seen enough to write a book, but its more so for my sanity to know that I'm well groomed down there..I guess if I'm planning on going through childbirth I can probably handle a brazillian..Chat Icon

Re: TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

I've used the trimmer blindly, but I've got to be honest, I'm getting to the point I just don't care.
I know DH would gladly help me out if I asked.

That's what I did. I still needed help from DH but the result wasn't bad. I think I was more nervous than he was!

Same here, I used a buzzer and did some with a razor with the feelign method and then just called DH in when I got frustrated. He is very careful and meticulous. It does feel strange having him groom me thoughChat Icon

Re: TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

I can still get around down there and clean everything up. I've had brazillians before (not when I was pregnant) and they hurt like a b1tch.

I can only imagine what it's like when you're pregnant. However, if you can't get to your area, it might be worth the pain.

i'm starting to practice NOW!! i can't stand when things get "out of order" down there...Chat Icon i'm doing everything on a touch and feel basis, i'm hoping to be able to continue doing that once the belly keeps growing bigger! i should practice with a mirror too! so long as i can help it i won't let things get too crazy down there! i used the new venus blades that have a HUGE strip on top and bottom = it kind of serves as a guide and makes it virtually impossible to cut yourself -
although i cant see that well, its been working pretty well

Re: TMI, but needs to be asked: Cleaning up down there

I can't see anything down there anymore. Chat Icon Even though I know it will be painful, I'm going to make another waxing appointment soon. I haven't gone in quite a few weeks, but it was quite painful the last time I went. It's easier than trying to maintain things myself.
