For people who bought a home that was vacant...
Did the process move quickly....how long did it take for you to close?

We had no problems we could have closed within 35 days from contract but the sellers attorney had to have a by pass so that delayed us

We closed in less than 6 weeks (from offer to closing day). We bought a foreclosure that was vacant for a while.

I did the loan myself. We closed in 5 days . Signed the contract Saturday and closed on Wednesday. Now if I had let another bank or broker do it probably closer to 30 days. I just rushed it.

Our home was vacant. They hadn't lived here for 5 years but h ad stuff in it still. It still took us over 3 mths to close, the owner "couldn't" part with it emotionally.

Our home was vacant and we were able to close in under 30 days.
Good luck!

Re: For people who bought a home that was vacant...
We moved into a vacant home and were able to close within 45 days of going into contract... We would've been able to close sooner but, they put a late on or about date on the contract and there were boundary line issues with our fence and the neighbors fence.

We are closing in 45 days. We could have done 30 but decided since we have the wedding we wanted to close after it!
