Re: 3D Sono - Is it worth it?
Its a moot point for me since I have gotten 1 3D sono pic at almost every sono-they do them at my clinic. It is a high risk multiples clinic at a teaching hospital and they use it to see abnormalities not picked up by 2 D sono. It is done by the same licensed techs who do my whole sono. Here is a pic of one of my babies at 23 weeks
He doesn't look scary he looks like his Daddy!
That said-I would probably wait until 28 weeks if I was paying

my dr freaked me out a little about these...he's far from an old fashioned dr, but his views on this seemed old fashioned, he is against having too many sonos done unless its medically necessesary, and to add to that, he questions the credentials of the ppl doing hte 3d sonos... so not sure what to do bc i really wanted to have one, and of course DH was there for this speech so now DH is totally anti the thought of it
same with us...I don't think there is enough research on it...both my doctor and the sono tech said they aren't comfortable with it.

We had one, and I am so glad that we did...I didnt think it was scary at all, and I know she will look different when she's born with all her baby fat... It's a personal choice, I have known people that loved them and people that would never do it.

When I first heard of these/saw them a few years ago-- I thought I was totally going to do it...
Now, the fact that it costs hundreds of dollars extra (and I am not afraid to spend money), it just doesn't seem worth it.
I can wait to see what the kid looks like.
I don't plan to have it done, unless DH REALLY really wants it - I'll do it for him. - I personally don't think it's worth the $$$$, but that's just b/c I hate the way those sonos look - I don't think they look anything like the baby that's actually born, and they always make me nervous, like something might be off ........-
