Is Majors the Place to go for Steak..Suggestions..
My husband and I are planning on going to Majors tomorrow but I have read mixed reviews? We want a really good juicy steak..suggestions please? Any place on the island is great!

Majors is OK, and the Price is good. I have never had a complaint there. Sagamore is great but $$$.

Majors is ok, It can be hit or miss.
I LOVE Abel Conklins in Huntington (Its $$$ but the prime aged steak for 2 is to die for. Do NOT order it for 1 the cut is different)
I hear Macs in Huntington is good but I haven't gone yet. Also $$$.

Hands Down Sagamore is our FAVORITE local place to go for a good steak! Its $$$, but entirely worth it!

For steaks, like real deal steaks...
Tellers in Islip (they are aged - amazing)
Prime in Huntington (same owners as Tellers - same beef)
Elbow Room II in Laurel (hole in the wall but phenomenal porterhouse)
Ruth's Chris in Garden City
...those are the best places for either filet mignon, porterhouse or other types of steaks!

We are big steak eaters and Tellers is by far my favorite.
It is in East Islip and pricey.
Majors' is not on my top 5. Sorry!

I would not go to Majors for a really good steak. Sagamore and Rothmann's are so much better.

We have found Ruth Chris's, Franks and Peter Lugers to be really good!

Majors is "eh". Their burgers are better than their steaks.
Rothmanns, Sagamore, Blackstone and all the Boulder Creek Steakhouses are owned by Scotto brothers (I believe Sbarro may have a stake in it too.) A friend of mine that worked for them said all their meat was from the same distributor. That being said, I do like Rothmanns, although they tend to over-salt their filets.
Prime is good, but I have never gotten excited about their steak/filet.
My favorites are:
Abel Conklin's (Huntington Village)
The Clubhouse (Huntington on Jericho Tpke)

I personally don't like Franks, at least not the one in Oceanside.
Jimmy Hays in Island Park is EXCELLENT! Fulton & Prime in Syosset is also good.

HUUUUUUUUUUUGE fan of Abel Conklin's in Huntington. Been there a bunch of times and OMG, the marinated ribeye is droolworthy 
Our other favorite is 21 Main in Sayville.
We're big steak eaters and did a "steak tour" with friends where every month we'd pick a different steakhouse. 21 Main was at the top of our list for all 4 of us and then Abel's........the guys loved Paces, I thought it was ok.

I love majors but there are defiantly better places on LI to get steak. The place on Old Country road across from TRUs in Carle place is DELICIOUS.
If you do decide to go to Majors.. go straight home after.. I heard alot that the stuff they put on steaks goes right through you.. with in half hour after eating youll be looking for the bathroom.

Outback has better steaks IMO
for a really great steak, try 21 Main or Tellers

I like Rothman's, Lugers, Frank's in Jericho. Majors is ok. We go to the one in Woodbury. Don't like the one in East Meadow.
Didn't like Sagamore at all. Spent a lot of money and it really sucked.
Ruths Chris rocks.
