How many times have you had to call your doctor?

I don't mean to make appointments, etc. I mean to ask questions or when you have concerns. My doc always assures me to call anytime, but I hate seeming neurotic. I don't feel like I've called that many times, but I worry the office staff is like "oh no, not that crazy lady again."

Just once...I was exposed to bacterial menengitis about 2 weeks ago. My mom made me call to make sure I was ok.

Once. I was sick & wanted to know what was safe to take for relief. I never spoke to the doc though, just a nurse.

Haha...I feel like I call up alot (but it truly is always for something, and they always tell me to come in). I called up yesterday because I was having a really difficult time breathing, and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't affect the baby. She asked for my last name, and she said oh hi Jacqueline I was just in the hospital on Sunday, so maybe that was fresh on her mind, but I was a little embarassed!!!

Just once when I had ableeding cramping episode...but I have a medical backround.

Don't EVER feel bad about calling your practitioner. THat is what they are there for!!

My midwife always said, "I would rather you call me at 3am because of bad gas, and I could tel you its normal and go back to bed" then have you worry and stress all night because that is not good for you or the baby!!!"

Just twice, once about taking allergy medications, and I forget what the second one was for. I could care less what the office staff think, they're not that helpful and not overly nice
The doctors have been awesome though so that's all I really care about!!
Pick up that phone ANYTIME you want to check something- the visits are so short, and you may have ?s after you leave. They are well used to calling their patients back and most of them schedule certain hours every day to do just that!!!!

I've called only a couple of times. I had to have a tooth pulled a couple of weeks ago and needed to find out what I could/couldn't take and what the dentist was approved to do to me. And one other time when I thought I had another UTI.

I called the emergency line like 2-3 times.
I must have called the office like 6 times maybe? possibly more. I feel like the whole office knows me

I haven't called yet, so far any questions I've had seem to be able to wait until my next appt. I've been lucky and have had a really easy PG so far.

ETA: I just remembered I had bleeding at 7 weeks on a Friday afternoon, I didn't have major cramping, so I relaxed for the weekend and called the DR. Monday morning. Apparently my preggo brain cannot be trusted

I have called 3 times, I think. Yesterday was the first time in over 10 weeks. My take on it is, I would rather be safe than sorry - I'd rather sound a little neurotic than ignore a potential issue out of fear.
Like yesterday, I was having a lot of cramping, which was probably just intestinal, but I wanted to make sure everything was fine. After hearing babies' heartbeats and having my cervix checked, I know all is ok. But what if it hadn't been?

I've called twice: once when I was bleeding at 11 weeks and once when I had a terrible rash on my face and wanted to know what I could take. I wouldn't worry about calling too much though, especially if it gives you peace of mind.

I've called just once - yesterday - regarding the Level II sono results. Since the "outside" doc who read the sono pictures didn't adequately explain his concerns, I felt better hearing a more thorough and complete rendition from my own doctors office.
Luckily so far (knock wood), things have been going very well and I haven't had any reason to have to call...but I would if I was concerned about something.

Twice. At 12 weeks I had some spotting and at 24 weeks I had contractions.

I called once when I burned myself with oil while I was cooking (on the stomach no less)

One time, that was because I Googled my problems and it made it sound like I could die from it. Once the dr assured me that was not the problem, and the salt was I never called her again. I also stay away from Google.

I have called twice-once because I bled heavily after s e x. and the 2nd time because I had an itchy rash which turned out to be PUPPS

Three times, twice about contractions around 28-30 weeks and once when I noticed the inguinal hernia They only had me come in one time, the other times we were able to discuss the problem over the phone. They've never seemed too upset to have me call- they told me better safe then sorry.
