I actually used to post on parenting on LIW back in 2003 and 2004 while I was ttc my daughter. My SIL Jennifer(Jen_n_dale) told me about LIW. Then we both switched to LIF the day it opened and were so proud of our usernames because we signed up right away. I basically post on parenting and teaching. I don't post much during the school year, but summer I tend to post more. I usually lurk on NFR. I feel the most comfortable on the parenting board.

I started on LIW through a friend who was getting married acouple of months before me (WOODIAM). Then I transferred over to here after I got pregnant.

In 2003 Christine (she posts on NRF, crafts, travel and a few other boards) and I started talking on a scrapbook board and she told me about LIW. In May 2005 when this website came about I joined and fully transferred after my wedding.
I find that I do the majority of my posting based on what is going on in my life...so when we sold our coop and bought our home I was on the HOME board. When I was pregnant I was on the PREGNANCY board and now that Lucas is here I post mainly on this board.
I used to be on NRF a lot more and feel bad that I am not over there as much because I really miss talking with everyone that posts there...many that are not here. I have to get back there more.

I used to lurk on LIW and posted a handful of times. A friend told me about this site and when i googled i would always type in LIFE so couldnt find it.. not knowing it was LIF. Then one day when i was on bed rest at the end of my pregnancy with my dd I was bored and went to LIW and saw the link to this site. Been posting ever since, I posted alot at first, now that my dd is older not as much.

Was on LIW since 2003 and when this site created I migrated over here with a ton of others on the first day and have been here ever since.
I used to post a lot more then now....I mean geez look at my post count....but I am mostly on this board. I do post on other boards and check them frequently.
This is the only internet site I am on though....couldn't keep up with more then 1

i started out on liweddings and then through there learned about lifamilies after we were married. Posted and commented mostly on NFR, Home (when we were looking for one and when we just moved in), then moved to Pregnancy. I was so intimidated by the Parenting board when I was pregnant because everything was so foreign to me! But now I realize it's a wonderful place to be  ! I also check out Fashion and Celeb Gossip mostly.

i joined 2003 LIW when planning the wedding. Actually ,my DH found the site for me to help me plan our wedding since - as we all know - its a stressfull time! I than naturally migrated to TTC when we started thinking about next steps.
Now.. i post on Parenting - not as often as I used to. I generally help where I can..

I joined LIW in 2004 to plan my OOS wedding in LI (I live in MD). From LIW I migrated to LIF when it formed in may 2005, but didn't really start posting until much later.
It was when I got PG with DD in 2006 that I really started posting more.
I'm still more of a lurker than a poster. I'll have days where I post ALOT, then other days where I just don't post but read. I think if I was able to get to GTGs, I would probably be more active. I'm always sad that I haven't been able to actually meet anyone here.
I WILL say its because of the PG and Parenting board that I am such a laid back mother. I have learned such an incredible amount of info from you all and your experiences.

I've been on this site since the begining when it first started. I have my routine and my selected boards that I visit. Pregnancy, Parenting, Home, NFR, Gossip, Fashion and back to Realtionships.
As you can see from my posts, I post enough here. I have a feeling when baby #2 comes, I won't have as much free time to get on here.

I came here from LIW when it started. I live in Los Angeles but planned a NY wedding since I am orginally from Queens. But we don't have a LA Families so here I stay
I post when I can- I actually can sneak on a bit at work here and there on slow days. Its harder in the summer when I am home with DD. Then I just come on when she naps.
I haven't been on here much since I was on TTC and now pregnancy board again. I rarely make it onto NFR and have a hard time relating to the topics- especially things like what is your favorite song! Ummmm.... If you happy and you know it?

I did some search for something pregnancy related back when I was first pregnant with DS and found LIF...I dont specifically remember what it was. Joined so I could post a question. Basically stayed on Pregnancy until he was born, even though I had the older girls...Now I pretty much just post on Parenting but I do jump around here and there..
Most of the time now I post while DS is eating in his highchair...which is all the time these days...and I bop on from time to time during the day...gotta love the laptop.

I found this site by accident right before my ds was born. I lurked for a while because I had no idea about sites like this . Started posting because I had a lot of questions about parenting since this is my first child.
I post when I get a chance not sure if that is a lot or a little.
I only post here because that is what I am here for. I don't lurk anywhere else, I do not have the time
ETA...actually i lied, i like to visit the celeb board. THANK GOD for Gossipqueen

I was on LIW back in 2001 - and didn't post much after I got married in 2002. When I was trying to get pg, I was on TCOYF.com for while and we were thinking of finding an RE, I did a google search for "RE reccomendations "516" and this site popped up.
It took me a while to make the connection that this was LIW sister site! I didn't really start posting here until after I got my big fat + - I joined a group on TCOYF, but didn't feel I had much in common with them and thought I'd fit in better with fellow NYers! Its really great to have this site to bounce ideas off of and learn things I never would have known!
ETA - this site got me through my pregnancy AND especially my maternity leave - but now that I'm back at work, I'm lucky if I even get a chance to lurk during the week... and if I see something I really want to contribute to, or someone who hasn't had a response yet, I try to log in and respond. I miss you girls!

I fouind LIW by complete accident and felt very funny joining because I was already married.
I found it when my bro and SIL asked me to be MOH in their wedding and wanted to start getting ideas for the shower and stuff.
I've been here since day 1.
I have posted on almost every single board. LOL
Been through TTC, Pregnancy, and now Parenting...Happy to say, I'm back on TTC

I found LIW through a search when I was planning my wedding in 2003. When LIF started in 2005, I made the natural transition bc this site seemed to be a better fit for where I was in my life. We had just purchased our home and I was pregnant.
I don't post as much as I used to bc work keeps me busy and sometimes I just don't even get online in the evenings at home. I post mostly on Parenting, but sometimes on Pregnancy, Home, and NFR.

Juliet kept telling me about LIW then LIF. I lurked for a little while then as a SAHM found it a great way to connect.
Sometimes I purposefully take a break from parenting to NOT talk about mom things. I check out TTC, parenting, NFR, books, Fashion, food & teaching.

I was on LIW and realized that there was LIF also! I came on and the rest is history. I don't belong to any other forums, this is all I need. I have met some wonderful people on here. I have been super busy lately but still manage to come on and stay in the loop. This site is a life saver!

I started out on liweddings.com a few years ago. Last year, I discovered lifamilies and I started on the pregnancy boards shortly thereafter.
I posted a lot more on the pregnancy boards than I do on the parenting boards, I don't seem to have as much time to be online (gee, I wonder why?)

I'm ususally on the parenting board now that I have DS, but I'll still go on the Infertility board, or the PG board from time to time. I don't think of myself as a frequent poster, but I'll ask a question or answer one if I can.

I was on LIW starting in 2002 (married in 2003) and came over here when the site was started. I was the 44th person to sign up! I don't post very often but read all the time! I'm new to the parenting board, as DD is 5 weeks old. I still go back to the pregnancy and IF boards, with occasional visits to NFR and home. I'm glad to be on this board now!

Mamasita27 got me hooked when we were both TTC. I was on the preggo board and now try to at least check in on the parenting board each day.I don't check any other boards regularly. I do post on some of them if I have a specific question though.
I can't imagine parenting without this site. I get so much wonderful advice and I feel like I have so much knowledge about what's coming up with DS (starting solids, potty training and everything) that I would have been clueless about without all of you moms! I think if it weren't for you ladies I'd be driving my pediatrician crazy!
