There is one in Centerreach. Right off of Nichols. I think its off Hawkins. You can see it from Nicholas. There is a charge. I don't think it's open until the end of June.

At Westmeadow Beach in Stony Brook one of the play areas is all sand and there are some sprinklers. There are also some in Port Jeff near the Community Center (the red building next to Danfords).

Re: Sprinkler parks near Ronkonkoma?

It's the Town pool in Centereach so I believe you have to be a Brookhaven Town resident (which you are). it's $3 or $4 to get in, I forget. They have a pool, playground, water slide and sprinklers. It gets crazy packed in the Summer, but it's nice. You can't bring floaties though (just in case your DC uses them).

I believe Hoyt State Farm Park in Hauppauge/Commack area off New Highway has one, but you must be a resident (so if you know anyone who lives there, you're in !)....We went a few years back with a friend and it was really nice !

Centereach pool is great you just want to get there when it opens (I think 11am) because around 1pm/2pm the summer camp kids start to arrive and it's crowded fast.

Have fun!

Is it with a Smithtown sticker? I need to get one. Can I go to a sprinkler park with a baby that does not walk yet (if I am willing to carry him in). He likes the water--even getting sprayed in the face by his bath toys.

You do need the Smithtown sticker. But we went there a few weeks ago and didnt have the sticker so we just showed our license and they let us in.
I am wondering that too, as DS loves water and being splashed but he is only 6 months old! But I would walk through with him a couple times!

The playgrounds there are nice too!
