Some thoughts..
Hello everyone. I would like to start this with a disclaimer:
I am not speaking for all the women on IF, only for myself.
I don't come on TTC too often because the "revolving door" moves too quickly for me. It very painful to watch women get their BFPs their first, second, third months trying over and over again.
However when someone posts a question about something I have the misfortune to have experience with, I want to share what I have been through so that hopefully others don't make the same mistakes I did. It is nice to think that maybe someone can benefit from things I have unfortunately experienced.
My intent when I post about my knowledge and experience is not to attack, but to help. I hope that those of you who are asking those questions do find some help in what I have to say.
If there are people out there who feel they are being attacked, then I apologize for that. But I do want you all to know that I wish each and every one of you the best of luck and that your TTC journey is a short one.

I LOVE when the girls from IF come over to TTC!
I appreciate the fact that (unfortunately) you all have so much more experience and knowledge about things that are often new to us.
I think you bring a lot to the table in terms of what has and hasn't worked for you, what you did, what you wish you had done, etc.
And it's helpful for some of us who haver been here a little longer (8 months for me!) to hear about what the next steps might be...

I totally agree with this! I am now entering my 5th cycle of TTC (though I only started posting about a month ago) and to be honest, I am often thinking about what will happen if things do not work out for me in the next few months. I sometimes lurk on the IF board to become more familiar and knowledgeable about IF issues. Thanks for the help and support

Let me start by saying that I haven't been on this board for long, but in this short amount of time I have found out so much in regards to the TTC experiences. As most, I feel the ladies on this board are not only knowledgeable but caring, warm and overly eager to help. We don't even know each other and I have to say I don't think I've seen so much anonymous support.
The only problem is, emails and texts can sometimes be interpreted incorrectly. If you're upset, you may feel someone is attacking, if you're scared it may seem purposefully hurtful..there in lies the problem with email, texting...just know that I'm sure everyone wants the best for everyone else--I mean why wouldn't we...happiness is contagious..it gives others hope. So let's move on to happy, hopeful times and get moving with some BFPs. Whose with me!! Hip Hip..Hooray (sorry..I was a cheerleader in high school) LOL!

Thank you Lauren for this insightful and intelligent post. When I was first TTC, I learned so much from the IF ladies who would occasionally come over to TTC and share their experiences and insights. Sometimes what they wrote scared me and I wasn't ready to hear what they had to say. Nevertheless, I learned a lot and appreciate all I have gained from this site. Eventually I started lurking over at the IF board more often and sadly I am now a regular poster over there. I wish everyone the best of luck on this board and hope that all of you get very fast BFP's!

Well said and I totally agree with you!! I appreciated ALL of the advice from everyone over on the IF board when I was TTC. They helped me make sense of my meds, appts. with the RE, blood work, etc. The girls were an invaluable resource to me and words cannot express my appreciation for their willingness to be so open and honest about their experiences. I wish everyone on the TTC board and the IF board lots and lots and lots of luck and I hope to see you all over on the Pregnancy board really soon!!!

Thanks for posting this Lauren. It truly came from the heart and anyone who cannot see that, should think about re-evaluating.
It is with every ounce of my soul that I wish the people I have come to share an unpredictable journey with, the greatest fortune of moving on to the PG board with enthusiasm and excitement. Whether you have been an IFer or not, there is a common goal - to become parents. It hurts to see strife here
My journey wasn't years in the making and in comparison to many IFers, was a drop in the bucket. However, the support and influence that the IFers and TTCers gave me in over a year and half is immeasurable and I am grateful - whether I decided to use the advice or not.
Bless you all and may your biggest dream come true.
