I'm not sure about Clomid, but just so you know... not everyone will get only 5 high days before their peak. I had 12 high days last month with CBEFM (it was my 2nd month using it)

no that i know
ive had cycles with 5, 8, 10, 12 high days
but never starting at CD11
usually about 10 low days
10 high and then 2 peak, 1 high after that

this is very early for me to get a high at all

Oh, I don't know then. The first month I had 3 low days (started testing at day 6) and the second month I didn't have any low days once I started testing.

Can I still use the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor if I am taking Clomid?
You may still use the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor if you are taking Clomid, but please be aware that the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor may not reliably detect High Fertility. However, it may still be possible to detect Peak Fertility. Therefore, if you are taking Clomid and trying to conceive, you may still benefit from using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, but consult with your physician first. In a recent study on patients using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor while taking Clomid, some patients did experience more High Fertility days when taking Clomid but their Peak Fertility days were still accurately identified.

ETA: I stopped using my monitor after 2 cycles on Clomid because it was clear I was getting false positives and I wasn't surging when the monitor and the OPKs were saying I was. My RE even confirmed that Clomid can give false positives. Just something to keep in mind.

thanks but what you quoted says that you'll get a peak with no "high"
i got a high yesterday and today
i also use OPK's and check CM so I'm hoping that its just making me "O" about a week sooner

Re: Any ideas?

First off, clomid can mess with results of the fertility monitor and OPK. The confusion you are experiencing is exactly why clomid cycles should be monitored by a RE. When I did clomid, my eggs were monitored by sonogram and bloodwork. There was no confusion about when I was going to O. If I were you, I would BD every other day at this point and hope for the best. Re: Any ideas?

actually i have heard all of the above but i dont think its confusing really,
i was confused yesterday because my temp was higher than normal during "pre O"

my temp went back below coverline today, another "high" reading
so basically, im getting "high" earlier than normal (about 10 days earlier)

my sister used clomid with her first 2 kids and also used CBEFM and OPK's and said they were right on target

Just remember, everyone responds differently to Clomid. What might have worked for one person, might not for another. All babyfaith and I are saying (and unfortunately we speak from experience), is that you should just be aware and prepared that Clomid can skew your OPK and CBEFM results, which is why it's so important to be closely monitored while you are on Clomid, because there is a chance you can miss your true surge.
