Does anyone use the Clear Blue Easy monitor that gives the :)

I was just on their website and this looks good but i have 2 questions:

1. how many sticks does it come w/ and do they sell additional sticks separately?

2. It says that it detects the 2 days of LH surge but how do you now when to begin testing so you dont miss it?

I got mine on ebay - it didnt come with any but you can buy them - they are about 50 bucks in CVS but i get them on ebay for about 30 bucks a box

2. It says that it detects the 2 days of LH surge but how do you now when to begin testing so you dont miss it?

Starting around CD10, when you turn it on in the AM (you have to do it in the same window of time everyday ) it will have a number - if it wants you to POAS; a stick will show up flashing - after a few cycles, it adjusts to your info based on the previous months so i have a long cycle - wont ask me to POAS until about CD15

The monitor gives you an egg I believe. It's the CBE digital ovulation kit that gives a Chat Icon I don't use the monitor, but I use the OPKs so I can answer your questions based on those.

1. Each kit comes with one digital reader & 7 sticks. The do not sell sticks separately. When you finish with the box, you have to buy a whole new kit.

2. The directions that come in the box will have a chart that instructs you which day to begin testing based on the average length of your cycles (or you take the shortest cycle you've had in the last few months), look that length up in the directions and begin testing on the day it indicates.

I used the digital ovulation kits with the smiley face and they were accurate each and every time. They come with 7 sticks. I always bought them NIB on ebay. Never had an issue.

i got the monitor on ebay for 100 bucks
one box of sticks lasts about 2 months so its not too bad

if you get the OPK's, they are 40 bucks for 7 sticks - which is not enough for me since i have long cycles

The CBE OPK with the Smiley face was $30 in Target.

Not sure how much they are on ebay though... I am going to have to check there next month!

My monitor shows an egg. I don't remember if it came with the pack of 30 sticks or not.

It prompts me to start testing on day 6 so it reads low, high, and then peak for 2 days and then it gives you one more high day the day after O.
HTH!

The monitor shows an egg....

You set it to day 1 on your first day of AF during the time window that you'll be testing (which is + or - 3 hours from the time you set it).

In your first cycle, it will ask you to POAS starting on CD 6. Then it will give you low days, high days, and your peak day. After the first peak day, you'll automatically get another peak day, then a high day.

I got mine from a wonderful lady here on LIF who sent a box of sticks along with it - so I'm not sure what they'd come with in the store.

They sell them in CVS though, I'm not sure how much they were. The sticks come in a box of 30 (that's what I got at least) which essentially should be a 3 month supply. Sometimes you might need to test for 20 days though instead of 10.

After your first cycle... MOST women (I stress MOST since I'm not one of them) will only get 1-5 high days before their peak.
