Will you leave the oven on when you leave the house?
MIL wants me to cook the turkey while we are in church tomorrow, but I won't do it. I was brought up not to leave things running while I am out of the house.. 
Should I just do it, or is that dangerous?

I am a big chicken when it comes to that...I get nervous leaving the crock pot on when I'm not home.
Can you just eat a little later and have peace of mind?

i can't lie---i'm old fashioned like that too. even though i know it will probably be okay--i can never leave the oven on with no one in the house.

I have left the oven on before when I have had a big roast in. I took my son to the park for an hour, but in general, no I wouldn't leave my oven on.

I would never do it! If something ever happened, I'd kick myself. It's just not worth it to get that extra hour or so.

Me neither, I don't even use the crock pot when I'm not home. If I have the oven on the only place I will go is maybe to walk the dog around the block.

I've accidentally left the oven on MAYBE once and DH ripped me a new one and I didn't blame him.. I won't leave the oven on and leave the house either

I won't. I will leave the slow cooker, finally after months of worrying over it. But the oven, I won't do. Ours is an antique and so that scares me too.

why dont you have it delay bake if your oven has that feature. You cn put the chicken in before you go to church and have it go on before you return home so i has bit to cook but its hasnt been on for hours
