Can you be tested to see if you will have problems TTC before TTC?

Can you be tested to see if you will have problems TTC before TTC?
This may be a dumb question. I am not TTC just yet but will be soon and I have always thought I would have issues. I asked my doctor if there was anything I could be tested for before we start TTC and she let's see how it goes with trying naturally first. I would like to know if I am going to have issues before this so we can cut to the chase.

The only thing I could possibly think of is if you have irregular periods after you are not on birth control that it could possibly be indicative of something. Or maybe a family history of some other problem.
But other than that, I cannot think of any tests or panel/battery of tests that docs run to see if you might have problems with TTC.

Not a dumb question. I asked my doctor if I could test for issues beforehand and they asked me a series of questions like if I've ever had ovarian cysts, is there a history of miscarriages in my family, have I ever miscarried and questions like that. After all was said and done...he told me to try 3 months naturally and then come to him after that.

I defiantely agree with everyone above. Unless you have "reasoable" reason to think there will be a problem (family history or irregular periods) they will tell you at least try for 6 months & then they will begin tests.
 for when the time comes...

I was thinking the same thing.
I was wondering if there was anythng I can find out ahead of time!!!

Exactly what Leslie said. I was having issues and was able to start getting tested in the year before we even got married.
